I told a young bush pilot as he throttled up the float plane that I had a fear of heights. Right before the engine revved, he answered, "Me too."

Flying is okay except for the landing,takeoff,turns, the turbalance, people, pilot who is suicidal, people again, the terminal waiting, the poor or lack of food, the delays, and of course the male with no luggage pacing the aisle, and of course again other passengers.

I learned how to work on airplanes as a young man, I fly anyway!
(But I haven't been in a helicopter in 35 years and I don't miss it a bit.)
