National Dive Bar Wednesday @ the MSC

The dive bar has a long history. By their very nature, bars had to have been around a long time and seen a lot over the years to be labeled a ‘dive bar.’ In their first life, dive bars might have been taverns, mom-and-pop shops, roadhouses, speakeasies, inns, or saloons. As circumstances changed, so did their clientele and ability to care for the establishment.


I'm sure there's a 'few' of us who have been in one.

Maybe one.

This will be the first traveling we have done since last teip to Jamaica. But it isn't until the end of Jan so a lot can change.

Evening BN'ers....

My IT department is working thru this issue of being blocked, and hopefully will have the issue solved shortly (not just with BN, but a few other sites including some internal).


But, in the topic of "DIVE BARS".......two comments.

1) As i posted last night in the Cafe', I will be visiting one in a few weeks in the middle of nowhere Nevada. Found it on-line. This is about a 45 minute drive from one of my favorite hotel / casino locations. I contacted my Casino Host today for a hotel reservation and simply asked him if there was a simple "hole in the wall burger and beer joint, besides the golf course's bar, locally". He responded that the best was the Cowboy Bar and Cafe', but it was nearly an hour ride.........Done deal, I will go.

2) Thinking this over, the most odd I was at was in Northern Wisconsin some years ago. They had a coffin in the back room. The bar, was littered with fishing crap and you couldn't even see the bartender. I have a photo and will search for such.

It has been in March but ues usually Jan.

Ya'll know I make jewerly so when we got the notice, I dug out my jewerly making stuff out. Trying to figure out some things to make with feet charms, a few guitar strings and a very few special guitar pics. I can't make something for everyone but will try to make something for some special friends.
