They are promoting so early, the Christmas stuff you are seeing now is for 2022.

Street flooding all over Houston area. So far, we have nothing. Don't want flooding but need some rain.

How are our Gulf Coasters ???

Lulu has closed the Destin location. Gulf Shores is probably next.

Not sure if we are still under the Tropical Storm warning or not....But,...we have not had a drop of rain, the sky is clear.....wind may be at 10 mph at best..........tomorrow is supposed to be 89 degrees and sunny skies with only a 20% chance of rain........it all went way east of us.

The wife however, is like a tropical storm.........upset that I bought a few cases of beer the other evening, and then picked up two kegs yesterday for the bar even though we had 3 full ones in stock...........Can't be too cautious.....we have enough beer in the house until Halloween......LOL

We’re waiting for rain and need it badly.

Our kids got 8 offers on their home. They spent some time this evening comparing all and made a decision. (all were over list price from $5-30,000 over). They have accepted one and have one on deck just in case. Settlement on their sale and buy are scheduled for Sept 16. We will be in Sarasota with some BNers right after they settle so we’re not able to help them move 😢

The last time we sold a house was 22 years ago; we had one offer and it was full of contingencies... subject to inspection, subject to financing, test the popcorn ceiling for asbestos and remedy as req'd, etc, etc, etc.
Last month a house a block away from us went on the market and the listing even said "Cash only, no contingencies." They had 16 offers and went for $160K over ask.

Soooo - today was a pretty long day. I got to work at 6:30 am and prepared for this awful payroll processing day. Someone brilliantly added to codes to bonus shift pay - but they didn't work, so I had to manually put them on an Excel spreadsheet. I started it Friday, and finished this morning.

Finally got through it - and never heard if there were any errors on what we submitted. Fingers crossed.

The A/C went out in my office JUST over my desk. There was no where else for me to work, so when it was 80+, I went home 30 minutes early.

Best part of the day? We have had a patient off/on (mostly on) since August of 2020, and we finally got to send her HOME. We all gathered in the hallway, clapped and cheered. She laughed and cried. "I love you all, and I never want to see you again"!! :D (And no, this was NOT Covid related).

The tech told me at least 2 and half hours. Because of the spine, thoractic cavity and the lesions on the t7 thru t10
