Hoping each of you is safe & dry. I have a vacation day with grandson Eli who starts school tomorrow. Our plan is to hang out at home for a while then head to the Dollar Tree for the Chambers #5 Shania Train birthday party (birthday 8/28 but Judge on vacation so we will celebrate on 8/30). We will drop off the supplies and hopefully he can get a "tour" of the prisoner holding cells. Then it's off to Ritas's for an Italian ice.
We discovered a stain on our dining room ceiling on Saturday which appears to be at the exact spacing of the shower drain in our master bath above. We had the tub surround removed in Feb of 2020 and replaced with a floor to ceiling walk in tile shower. The contractor is stopping by tomorrow morning. This is what concerned us when we made the swap-out decision.
Beside the hassle and cost of this we will now need to paint the entire ceiling (the house is only 9 years old.
I guess I have a way to "use it or lose it" my 2 vacation days before Dec 20
Hope that 'leak' isn't anything too serious, Linda. We've had a couple over the years - one in our kitchen (and they could never figure out where it was coming from), and one in the living room when we had huge rain storm years ago.
Time to head to that work place. Keep our friends in TN and the East coast in our thoughts.
So, Friday when the handymen came to install the wall oven, he discovered that the oven was too big to fit in the space. So they had to move the wall about 4 inches....which makes my tiny kitchen even smaller, we were waiting for the last 24" base cabinet but now that will be too big and the granite countertop will be too big! We are supposed to be getting the granite installed this Friday..... Oy vey.

Good Morning Gang! Well, at least today's opening sentence from the MSC is a positive one.
Seems like many are going through a stretch of negative issues. Of course Mother Nature has been reeking havoc lately for many. As Penny mentioned thoughts go out to all of them.
To add to the negative issued theme, now my girlfriend Lynn has had her home exterior been invaded by bees....angry bees. Of course better exterior than interior. She got a couple stings around her ankle Saturday night in a showdown while trying to do some spraying & is getting a bit of swelling this morning. Fortunately no other nasty symptoms have popped up. She has a Pest Control company scheduled for later this morning so hopefully that situation will be taken care of ASAP.
Enjoy your 23rd day of August everybody..........
Corona by day, Corona by night, any old time is just alright!
Good late morning. I haven't been to World of Beer in almost a month, I have $5 in my rewards account and it expires tomorrow. I think I'll go there for lunch today. Too bad the $5 expires tomorrow instead of Wednesday, they give double points in the rewards program on Wednesdays.

Oh, damn. I'd have to burn the place down!! Hope they can resolve the yucky bee problem.

I'm right there with you Penny girl! No bees, wasps, yellow jackets, hornets or whatever they're called...

YUP!!!!! HATE them. I couldn't stay in the house!
How's the toe doing? Sorry about the kitchen woes.
My goal today is to see if I can clip any of the lifted nail off and re-bandage it. I've been doing laundry and cleaning up after the work that Bryan has been doing over the weekend. I'm just hoping against hope that I'll come home from work this Friday and I'll have a kitchen sink!
Hi there! I had a good eye check up today. The retinal doctor was pleased to see an increase in my vision. I wore glasses at least ten years old. My regular glasses are too scratched.
If I wasn't fishing in this all day rain,I'd be home doing something stupid.
