Good morning. It's a little cool on the Island of Long but it's a pretty nice day. I should probably get outside while I decide what I want to do for lunch today. + or

The hotel has free breakfast. I'm not much of a breakfast person but I wanted to have a cup of coffee. They have a TV in the breakfast area and it's tuned to News 12, the Long Island cable news channel. When I walked in there was a commercial on, for vacationing in Myrtle Beach.

I went online and was checking out a place for lunch that's walking distance from the hotel. Nothing fancy - sandwiches, burgers, wings. But they have a beer called Pantless Thunder Goose. I may have to go there just to try that beer.

There was an active shooter at a magnet school this morning. Shooter has been arrested. Principal was shot.

I'm at a brewery that isn't supposed to open until 3:00 but I walked by at 2:30, the door was open and music was playing so I walked in. I'm having their pilsner, pretty good.

Evening, peeps.

Fall has definitely arrived, we're into the 40s in the overnight early mornings and just low 60s today. But it's sunny and the foliage is already popping. Took PTO for the whole day. Had a quick doctor appointment this morning and then we wandered around and had lunch at a Japanese restaurant.

One brewery yesterday, one today. I have 4 more within 6 or 7 miles of the hotel and 2 more days before I leave. Two of them will have to struggle through without my business.

I have pictures of my law school diploma and the certificate from when I was admitted to the bar on my phone. I don't think anyone I went to high school with will believe I was a lawyer. I was not the studious type back then.
