Don't forget to vote. I can't, nothing on the ballot in my precinct this year. The mayor and city council members are up for reelection but I don't live within the city limits so I can't vote for any of them. No statewide or countywide elections either.

I forgot to mention this the other day. I was watching a college football game Saturday and I heard something I never heard before. There was a penalty on the defense and when the ref turned on his mic to make the call he said "Delay of game on the defense. They were making disconcerting signals that caused the offense to false start." What are "disconcerting signals"?

Disconcerting signals can encompass the defense doing a hand clap much like most shotgun teams do these days to signal a snap. This was done by Nebraska vs Michigan last month. I don’t think the defense flipping the offense the bird qualifies though

Former Pelican Freddie Freeman had a pretty good World Series. Jorge Soler was the World Series MVP. He played for the Pelicans when he was with the Cubs, they sent him to the minor leagues on an injury rehab assignment. He only played a few games but it was during the playoffs and he has a Carolina League championship ring. I forget what year it was but the Pelicans won the championship in 2015 and '16 so it was one of those years.
