What is meant as "Last MOTM in Key West"?

The Hilton/Casa Marina is going to renovate the hotel next year, and per PHIP there will no longer
be enough room to have stages etc. They say that there is no other place in KW that can handle this type of event.

So, if & when there is another MOTM it will be in a different location.

Ft Meyers was one location that was talked about. I'm not sure if they can rebuild fast enough to hold the event next year. Very sad they are leaving KW. One of the main reasons i went, was because it was in KW. We will see if this is my last for some time. Gulfshores is too much of a PIA to from CT. Plus , i like to tie in a Dolphins game with MOTM. They aren't home this year, either, Sunday between MOTM. Ft Meyers, I could still do it.

I've never been to Gulf Shores and while I would like to visit that area, I'm not so sure about going there in late Oct./early Nov. I admit I am a cold weather wimp!

Ft. Myers Beach area does have a long road to recovery. Planning a big event like MOTM actually starts the year before.

Pretty much agree. Daytime highs don't seem too bad in Gulf Shores (mid to upper 70's) but its those night time lows that are so favorable in KW & even Ft. Myers for that matter in comparison to GS (mid 50's to 60) are what would be an issue IMO.

Bummed that I committed to other obligations beginning of this year during this time period prior to learning this MOTM would be the last one in KW. As Tommy mentioned, not sure if MOTM will be in the future cards elsewhere. Ft Myers would be the best possible alternative but can't see that being available until 2024 at best.
