Exactly 5 weeks to go until Christmas. Is it time to start shopping?? Cue the cash & gift cards for the kids & Grand kids is what I'm thinking
But I do NEED to get serious about something for my lovely girlfriend! I've turned into such a last minute shopper. But that leads to too much stress. Can't be having that now.

Another big college football day here in Big Ten land. Have the unpleasant task of preferring the team from Columbus Ohio to win today vs. the team from Lansing Michigan for the sake of my favorite team from Ann Arbor Michigan. If I could trust those Lions of State College to take down Sparty next weekend I could be more flexible/nonchalant about who wins today. But safer bet is to take the bird in the hand approach today to set up potential Michigan/O$U showdown next weekend for all the Big Ten East marbles.
Regardless of alliances, it could be an interesting game today.

Penn State is not a reliable bet for a win next week... James Franklin chokes in the big games and usually finds a way to lose. You guys have a good chance to put up numbers like ours today against Maryland, as long as Harbaugh keeps his cool. Setting up another great game next week!

It's been a successful Saturday so far: Visited with Ma and she enjoyed the homemade peach ice cream, shopped for a few groceries and one of our horses won the first race at Golden Gate Fields this afternoon!

The Hurricanes are on a west coast road trip and they're playing the LA Kings today. I was expecting a 10pm eastern time start but it's an afternoon game. I missed the entire 1st period.

Had a great time with the 3 granddaughters this weekend and I went to see the 2 boys at their Bible Quiz tournament. They are on different teams but their teams were the youngest in the competition. Levi is 12 and his team took 1st place in the Silver division and Seth is 11 and his team took 2nd place in the Gold division! So proud of them and all of the kids. Levi's team was so great... when the opposing team got a question correct, they would get up and high five the other person! Competitive but still showing good sportsmanship. I'm a proud Mimi!
