Been busy this morning. Banana peanut butter bread is cooking, Coconut Sour Cream Coffee Cake is in the oven. One load of laundry in the dryer and the second is in the washer. And my babies are on the way from Western NY.

Work is not too busy today, which means I'm busy catching up timecards before Monday Payroll day.

My sister has "Covid Fog" and could not figure out how to balance the checkbooks of their personal account and business account yesterday. So I went over there and got her straightened out. I'm glad to see her strength is improving, but her mind sure isn't.

Traveling home and decided to hit the local brew pub for a cold one to celebrate the last day of work for the year.

It hit 100°F here yesterday, followed by a storm.

Today is supposed to be high 80's.

The new bathroom finally gets finished today, we have been waiting several weeks for the shower screen to be done.

Other than that, the chook shed needs some fixing and I need to try and make a start on building my workshop benches. I found a small pile of lumber behind on of the sheds, I suspect it used to be the patio roof, so I will try and see if any of it will be reusable for the bench frames. All the while I will be keeping an eye out for the eastern brown snakes who are no doubt in residence in the pile. A fun fact - eastern browns are believed to be the second most venomous snake in the world and we have heaps of them around here.

My gang has arrived and my daughter is making a Spice cake with lemon glaze for her dad. It smells amazing in here. The kids just finished hot cocoa and sugar cookies. The chicken bsketti casserole is ready for the oven.
I'm enjoying a margarita and you should definitely be having some with your Mexican dinner!!!

Wife just called, and said that she had lunch with a friend who has tested positive. She went and got tested. Results not till Sunday.


My weekend is shot. Need to hit the beer store on the way home to stock up.

Burned some PTO today, have to use it or lose it because we can only carry over five days. So we did some yard clean up and then went and got our tree. Due for some real snow tomorrow, looking forward to it. Will be nice to walk the pup around town and look at all the lights.

She is just over protective, but doing the right thing. She was in NYC last week and had lunch with a friend in an outside cafe' who has now tested positive, so she went and got tested today. She came home on Monday and I didn't leave until Wednesday, so that was two days in the house with her. We are going to hang tight until her test results come back on Sunday. In the meantime, the fridge is stocked with food. The kegs in the bar are in good shape and she always has wine down in cellar.

the thing which confuses me.....is if she has it, and I was around her for two days, then odds are that I am also positive. So why do I have the couch?

there is not a doubt in my mind, with the traveling I do, the places I have been (reading departure signs in some big airport remains me of the places I've been) that I have been exposed and probably had. The week that everything was shut down, my chin was two inches off of the bar at the Flamingo in Las Vegas. Also, with the traveling I have done for the past 28 years, that my immune system is far better than most.
