Christmas Eve FRIDAY @ the MSC

Good Morning Everyone!
I was up way too early for a "day off".....6:00.
I have a few errands this morning but other than that there's not too much to do - we are keeping the holiday celebrations fairly simple this year.
Church at 4:30 with Kevin's mom, sister & aunt.
Daughter Bridget & SIL Andrew, Niece and her husband will join us at 6:00 for lite fare and a movie. Grandson Eli will be with his mom. Son Brandon, grandson Austin & his mom are still quarantineed.
We are hosting Christmas dinner tomorrow at 4 for some of the bunch - the unquarantineed remainder will be dropping by around 6.
Enjoy your day!

I'm working half a day today, then I'll go home and make lots of pizza dough for Christmas Eve Pizza and games at our old house with the youngest daughter, son in law and bonus grandson!
I think I'm starting to get a head cold. Taking lots of zinc, benadryl and DayQuil.
Today marks 12 years that my Mom passed. We always did a big Christmas Eve gathering at her house...
Merry Christmas Eve

Love your Christmas Eve plans Tammy!
Hugs to you losing your mom anniversary.

Those things have such a profound effect on us.
I posted on a message board yesterday that I understand everyone moves on from this world. May sound dumb, but just wish the good Lord would find a way to not take anyone in December or shortly after the Christmas holiday in January.
My wife's last good day on this Earth was Dec.31, 2012 before passing a couple weeks later. Puts a bit of a tarnish on Christmas & the adjoining holidays IMO.

Our family (and by that I mean Kevin's side as I really don't have a family) has not had to suffer a loss during this time of year. For that we are grateful but sad for those who have

Good almost afternoon. It's a beautiful day on the coast of Carolina, 60 degrees and sunny. It's supposed to be 70 degrees tomorrow, I might not have to wear pants on Christmas.

Afternoon BN.
Of the recipes I tested the other day, I decided to make 2 types of cookies. Both a variation of wedding cookie. 1 has almonds & a piece of chocolate inside. The other is the same dough without the nuts & a Reese's cup inside. Both will be coated in powdered sugar. Diabetics need not apply
Happy Christmas Eve BN!

(((Doc))) Sending you great big hugs too! It's never easy losing a loved one but it's more poignant when it comes on a holiday.
My pizza dough is resting and the youngest daughter woke up with the same sinus congestion and runny nose that I have. The at home Covid test she took was negative and I'll test when I get to her house...with the bonus grandson having to travel back to Chicago after Christmas break, I figure better safe than sorry.

Why would you want to ruin perfectly good cookies with nuts and Reese's cups?

I'm having a winter ale called Nut Cracker. I wonder if the brewery is owned by women?
