The whole weekend is grey and sleety. Cold, wet, and miserable weather - I wish it would just snow. We're just hanging around the house. Indoor chores, football, maybe do some work paperwork.
You only have two options - havin' fun or freakin' out...
Wife was feeling better this morning, and even went for a walk.
She started taking down the inside Christmas stuff, while I went to the store. When I returned she was back in bed and said that she over-did it and feels rotten again.
On a better note, my neighbor told me got gas yesterday for $1.59. I asked him where and responded, "Taco Bell".
The NHL Winter Classic is about to start, they play an outdoor game on New Year's Day every year. Today's game is in Minneapolis. The temperature is -6 and the wind chill is -25.

Radio was talking about the game on the way to work. Said they had to 'warm up the ice'. Why would they do that?

I'm just guessing, but maybe if it gets too cold the ice can get brittle and crack? If there are cracks in the ice, that's dangerous for the players because their skate blades can get caught in a crack.

I worked at a small rink as a kid. Hard ice can make skates slip sideways more than soft ice.
