Good morning. We had a lot of rain last night, now we have a tornado watch until 11:00 and a high wind advisory until 3:00. Right now the wind is 20-25 mph and we could have gusts up to 60 mph. I should stay indoors, I don't want my hair to get messed up.

Yep, took a while but winter finally hit my corner of Texas. Went from 70 Saturday to 18 Sunday. Low last night was 25.

I agree but they say summer will be back this weekend.

I'm good now. Had a buncha health issues that had me bedfast for a big chunk of 2021 but am now pretty much back to normal. Physically normal, mental is another thing. Had to retire but just turned a certain age in December (let's just say boxcars when rolling dice) so was planning to slow down to part time or PRN this year anyway.

To quote The Drive-By Truckers* "The secret to a happy ending is knowing when to roll the credits".

Will do better about popping in here if y'all will have me.

Local news reporting snow flurries here on the Gulf Coast last night.

I saw that. Had to be north Okaloosa County. Wasn't THAT cold.

Although I was going to drain my lawn sprinkler pump until I saw the forecast. Back to 70 by Thursday

For those unaware, FrogNot was the first carrier of the original "Lone Palm". It made many journey's around the country to shows and BN gatherings.

Somewhere back there, this a thread.


I know that I picked it up from him in either Dallas or Houston (or somewhere in between) and transported back to Michigan (when I was living there). Then took it with me to Chicago and handed off to Z (Dave).

It was always fun running into it at places, and reading the signatures and places it made it too. I know PHAW and Happy Shark took it from Denver to California and it was on display at Red Wine and Jeeps weeding.

Speaking of them, anybody ever hear from them? That party for them in Vegas was maybe the pinnacle of BN events.

Daily weather update. 60’s yesterday with clouds and wind and drops of rain.

Today. 30 with sun and STRONG WINDS and no rain.

2 more cases scheduled for hearings this week must be rescheduled as attorneys have been “covidized”.

Local government observed NY Day on Friday. Apparently lots of law firms didn’t get that message as I had quite a few emails today saying “we tried to reach you by phone on Friday but got no answer. (Judicial Chambers are intentionally not set up with voice mail).

Wife is felling 100% better today. Like back to normal. But has now entered the "no smell, no taste" stage.

She did a shot of warmed Pillar. Said didn't taste a thing.....
