Good Morning from the darkness (at least for now) at Ringville.
Today is National Clean off Your Desk Day. IF you find anything interesting let us know .
The second Monday of January each year recognizes National Clean Off Your Desk Day.
This day is an opportunity to begin your new year with a clean and organized workspace. Whether your desk is in a private or shared office, cubicle, home or a make-shift desk on the counter, having your workspace uncluttered and organized will help you work more efficiently. A clean workspace improves productivity and inspires us, too. It often gives us a sense of serenity.
Good Morning!!
Ha!! I DEFINITELY need to take to heart today's thread title! I actually kind of started yesterday. Still more to do. But dang, I just realized I didn't bring my hammer & nails to hang a Picture I received from my son of him & his fiance for Christmas. Knew I should have got them out last night & put em on the kitchen table.
Time to shape up this desk.
Hope everyone has a great day !
Corona by day, Corona by night, any old time is just alright!
I remember having so much stuff on my desk for one of the cases I was working on - picking up a file, putting it down and looking at another one, putting that down and doing a computer search for some documents in our client's database - I had put my pen down and when I went to pick it up I couldn't find it.
My desk at work is as clean and neat as it gets. The one at home? Eh, not so much.
Two people started today, so I'll be doing their new hire paperwork sometime today.
Got a call at 6:30 am (while I was still driving to work) from my boss. He tested positive on Saturday. His isn't a big deal - just a stuffy head, and loss of smell/taste. I had to open his office, take pictures of what was on his desk, and grab his laptop. Then met him outside by his car.
Now this was a headline I couldn't ignore: "Elephant surprises hotel manager by walking into lobby".
It was in Zambia. It's not the first time it's happened there. No one was hurt and the elephant left.

Was the hotel chain one that gives each guest a fresh-baked cookie

The NFL season ended yesterday. Miami, Chicago and Minnesota fired their coaches this morning. I'm sure there are more to come, like the Giants.

I have an eye Dr appt at 2 today. I hate having to have someone drive me. I don't drive in Houston and even if I did, I don't trust my eye sight to drive in that traffic.

Doubt it. The manager mentioned this happens when they leave fresh fruit around on the desk.
Mrs frognot and I finally saw a family friend who is a lawyer and are having wills made. I also scheduled some cardiac tests that my internal med doctor wanted done so that's all the work I plan to do today. Will put off desk/cleaning organizing until a future date.
Kinda liking this retirement gig.
Hank Hill : Just in case I'm incapacitated for some reason, do you know how to start a man's heart with a downed power line?
Bobby: No.
Hank : Well, there's really no wrong way to do it.
Evening, peeps. Hardly any actual paper desk stuff but there is always plenty of email and on line to-do.

Gettleman is officially 'retiring' as GM. Word on Judge was that he would get one more year as coach but those last few games were even more pathetic than anyone thought possible so he's probably out, too.
You only have two options - havin' fun or freakin' out...
