Good morning, Ken & BN. It's 13* here and very blustery, perfect day to celebrate all of these!

• We had chicken curry for dinner earlier this week.
  Don't know any gingers here in town so here's a virtual kiss for any gingers lurking out there. {{{MUAH}}}
  Marzipan is out for me, limiting my sugar to what is already present in wine.
  Pharmacist - we have officially abandoned the chain pharmacy in our town (Walgreens) after several episodes of garbage service and inconvenience. Two local guys have opened an independent pharmacy near here so we're giving them a try and so far they have been just light years better in every respect.

Walgreens has become so bad here too. Going to switch everything to a independent pharmacy soon.

E uses Walgreens here, and we've never had an issue - lucky I guess.
I use CVS mail order (for most all prescriptions), and have only had one problem (which was resolved) in 3+ years.

Another day in the 50's here. Kathy (my sister) are doing all the things we need to do for whenever Mom leaves us. Heck, I even confirmed with the mortuary yesterday that the plan my Dad bought a zillion years ago was still in effect, and it was. Ah well, it's part of life.

Going to the DMV this afternoon to renew my license. I haven't had a new picture in over 7 years, so they make ya come in, instead the usual online renewal. At least it's by appointment now.

And I pretended to have reddish hair occasionally over the years, but it's all gray now.

I'm not a big fan of marzipan.

Footnote - I didn't notice the celebratory dates..

I've not had curry in a long time - my Mom used to make a good chicken curry. I use the spice occasionally in different dishes.
I don't think I've had marzipan - I'm not big of fan of fancy decorated cakes, so probably not.

National Curried Chicken Day: Just had it two nights ago and leftovers for lunch yesterday!
National Kiss A Ginger Day: I know a ginger that I'd probably enjoy kissing, but Mrs SPH and her husband would frown on it.
National Marzipan Day: Yum! Mrs. See's Marzipan is a favorite in our house. I don't know if it's a West Coast thing, or is she national?
National Pharmacist Day: We had a local family owned Pharmacy chain (Bartell Drugs) that had been around since 1890 and had grown to 68 stores in the Seattle area. Bartell's was believed to be the nation's oldest existing family-owned drugstore chain until it was sold to Rite Aid in 2020. Although all the Bartell's customers were assured that nothing would change, virtually everything has and pharmacy customers are all fleeing to either CVS or Walgreens. These days I get most of my RXs through mail order, so it hasn't impacted me much.

Marzipan means different things to different people..
My idea of Marzipan (Mary See's): Italian Marzipan:

there is now a "rumor" about our court system going into full lockdown....again.

There were 2 jury trials scheduled to begin today; 1 civil, 1 criminal. All jurors were dismissed because there were too many questions about COVID problems possibility popping up during the trials. Since all the plexiglass that was installed between each juror chair was removed months ago there is no protection. sigh.

Wake me up when it is "Kiss a Mary Ann" day instead.
