Good morning BN! Trying to thaw out this morning. It's a little brisk in North Dakota.

Boy, that's cold. Good morning, Ron.Our digital thermometer doesn't wok after -20. It will read OF, which I think stands for
OFF.
OFF.
If I wasn't fishing in this all day rain,I'd be home doing something stupid.

Re: Thursday thaw in the MSC 1/20/2022
Good morning gentlemen. Yesterday we had a winter storm watch in effect for tomorrow. Today that's been changed to an ice storm warning. It's supposed to start before 8am and last into the afternoon and we could have as much as 1/2 inch of ice. I have an appointment to donate platelets at 10:00 tomorrow. If it was snow I wouldn't care, I can drive in 1/2 inch, or a few inches, of snow. I don't want to drive on roads covered with ice. I think I'll call and reschedule.
what I really mean . . . I wish you were here

Just heard from the youngest daughter (who is taking care of the big dogs) that her hubby (who is an RN) has potentially tested positive for COVID. He has to be officially tested at the hospital in order to get paid for being off.

Re: Thursday thaw in the MSC 1/20/2022
Good Morning Everyone.
2 years ago we had our master bath/tub combo replaced with a floor to ceiling walk in tile shower. About 8 months ago we noticed a stain on the dining room ceiling. When we measured the placement it seemed to be smack dab in the middle of that shower drain. Contractor came in, did some work in the "trap" and we all assumed it was fixed. Last week we found a bigger stain about 3" from the edge of the 1st stain (which we had not painted over....just in case). The contractor came back on Monday morning, cut a hole in the drywall in the bathroom near the shower access panel. Nothing wet there.
Moved downstairs and cut a larger hole in the dining room ceiling and nothing leaked while running the shower for 10 minutes. So, we put a bucket on the floor and were going to watch it for a day or 2. As he was packing up his tools water started to drip into the bucket....SCORE !!!! Turns out when the plumber (one of his sub-contractors) installed the drain one of the nails went into the drain pipe. So - when the shower was in use the water flow kept it from leaking. BUT......as soon as the water was off the draining water started to drip. Obviously a 2 year very slow leak.
So, we now have drywall dust everywhere and have some painting to do. But, the leak is fixed at no charge.

Morning all.
nothing to do today except go to the airport for a few rides home. Flight not till later this afternoon so decided to stop into Hooters here in Chantilly, VA for some shrimp and beers.
Cheers All.
And for the record, my "C" is working perfectly today.

Define "Too Early"
my computer is telling me that it is only 10:36 AM (my time at home), but Hooters is open and I have a cold beer in front of me.

I usually try to wait until at least noon. Or after I've had my orange juice.

Thanks Moogy! Hope you are doing well too! At least she can stay at our house with the dogs. Even if she goes home, he can stay upstairs and she can stay downstairs...he's at the hospital getting tested now.
