Good Morning Everyone!

The 2 of us here at Ringville enjoy just about anything with pasta but tonight is salad night before heading to daughter Bridget's home to celebrate Grandson Eli's 11th birthday with some cake and ice cream..

Today is NATIONAL FETTUCCINE ALFREDO DAY

On February 7th, National Fettuccine Alfredo Day celebrates one of the world’s favorite ways to enjoy a plate of fettuccine.

Fettuccine alfredo enjoys a history as rich as its flavor. Created in 1908, fettuccine was made out of love and concern by an Italian restauranteur. Alfredo di Lelio’s concern for his pregnant wife’s lack of appetite caused him to put his talents to work. The birth of their first son depended on it. His recipe of noodles, cheese, and butter not only encouraged her to eat but she also inspired him to put it on the menu, too. Since then, the century-old dish has been satisfying pasta lovers around the world ever since.

Not only that but fettuccine alfredo lovers experiment with the dish in several ways. Add shrimp, mushrooms or spinach. The meal also pairs well with other vegetables and proteins, too. Cut the richness with a white wine and finish with a fruit dessert.

Good morning. Yesterday it looked like it was going to rain all day but it never did. It's raining now. Goldfinger was on TV last night and I DVR'd it, maybe I'll watch it while I wait for the rain to stop..

Back to work after vacation... Ugh. So much that wasn't done while I was gone. Really?? Someone can't grab a stack of plates for our little breakroom?

4 new hires started today. Lots of paperwork. And a book of forms to process for people who can't remember to punch the time clock!!

Ahem. But it was nice to be welcomed back.

Heyyyy now. Well, I guess we’ve been called worse.
Must have got a bug last week playing in our snowstorm. Not Uncle Covid, but left work early Friday afternoon & been out of commission so to speak since then. Getting real tired of being sick & tired this past weekend. Home today as well & hopeful that I’ll be fit to get back to work tomorrow. Normally once a winter I seem to get a 48 hr bug but this one is stretching out more than normal.
Safe travels to the Great Lake state Michi. Hope you’re hotel & bar situation here ends up working out. Sorry can’t make a Scooter’s meet up

The NHL All-Star Weekend is over and NHL players aren't going to the Olympics so hockey is back tonight. The Hurricanes have 3 games in 4 nights in 3 different cities. My couch is ready for me.

Hi there! We were on the only 4 lane stretch of highway in the county when I saw something black in a snow covered field. It was a bear! They often break from hibernating to find food.

Old Chicago has a new item on the menu, chicken & bacon mac & cheese. It had more bacon than chicken but that's OK because the only thing better than bacon is more bacon.

tomorrow night I will make a fettuccine w/artichoke sauce for dinner.....tonight was salad since we are imbibing in cake & ice cream in honor of Grandson Eli's 11th birthday today. Although since he requested Chocolate cake I will only be having ice cream....which hopefully isn't chocolate too

I am all set down in the Fenton area, but if something changes tomorrow afternoon or evening, let me know as I will be from Lake Orion up to Fenton and can be anywhere between there in no time.
