We have frost on the ground this morning.....with a winter weather advisory called a "bomb cyclone" on deck for overnight. Here's what the local news says about that.

Lancaster County is in the sights of an unusual, dynamic winter storm this weekend, the worst of which will be active from about mid-morning Saturday to mid-morning Sunday, according to forecasts from late Thursday.

The weather system, called a “bomb cyclone” by meteorologists, is set to rapidly ascend the length of the Eastern Seaboard in a matter of 12 or so hours, said meteorologist Kyle Elliott, director of Millersville University’s Weather Information Center.

Bomb cyclones are marked by a large drop in air pressure in a window of 24 hours or less and have been described before as “winter hurricanes.” But Elliott said those descriptions can be overdramatic.

Nothing much going on at Ringville this weekend although we will try to get to grandson Austin's last Jr Hershey Bears' hockey game tomorrow.

Good morning, Linda. We won't be in the worst of it and I'm good with that.

Good morning Linda and Bill. We're supposed to get some rain later but tomorrow is going to be a "severe weather day". Rain, maybe some hail, high winds and a slight chance of isolated tornadoes. North Myrtle Beach was supposed to have their St. Patrick's Day parade tomorrow and they announced yesterday that it was being rescheduled for next Saturday.

Kevin just got tickets for us to see this band.

I've never heard of the Tedeschi Trucks band but I'm usually open to new music although I did pass on a ticket for Dweezil Zappa

Derek Trucks used to play guitar in the Allman Brothers. Butch Trucks, one of the Allman's drummers, is his uncle, or some other kind of relative. Susan Tedischi is his wife. I saw both of them at a benefit concert in NY about 15 years ago but they didn't play together.

We had one of those in the Denver area a few years ago. Quite the disaster. SO MUCH SNOW. It was just awful.

Busy work day - trying to get everything done, and train people on my job before I leave for a few weeks.

I've seen Susan Tedeschi band back before she joined forces with hubby Derek Trucks. She put on a great show.
I've never seen Trucks live but I know his credentials are top notch.
Don't know why I've never pulled the trigger on seeing the T& T band.

Yesterday was warm and sunny. Today is much cooler, windy and gloomy. But next week will be in the 70s all week

I'm bored. Time for a photo.

Every event around us has been cancelled in anticipation of the pending cyclone.

So, I bagged out of work early and got my regular Saturday stuff done.

Grandson Austin’s last ice hockey game was canceled by the opposing team that has much farther to travel so we didn’t get a chance to see him play this season

It has been storming all evening. We probably need the rain but the wind is scary. Just hope everything in the backyard is safe.
