Maybe none for me this year. I was thinking about Las Vegas in October but the hotels are ridiculously expensive for Buffett weekend.

Miguel Cabrera of the Detroit Tigers got his 3,000th hit today. He's the 3rd player in major league history to have 3,000 hits, 500 home runs and a career batting average over .300. The other 2 are Hank Aaron and Willie Mays. Cabrera is in pretty good company.

George Springer used to be an Astro. He now plays for Toronto. He was up to bat for the first time since leaving the Astros.

He hit a Springer Dinger.

I'm starting to feel a little better. I just put a coffee cake in the oven. Bryan is grilling burgers and making a garlic and gorgonzola salad for dinner.
I've got the last load of laundry in the dryer. And a plan is in place for a menu for the week.

Hi there! Anne was good enough for a day out. We ate at a place we like. Her appetite is low which means she will loose even more weight.

Missing Parrotfest. Sigh....

Kudos to “Miggy” for accomplishing this stellar feat. While he has his title ring with the Florida Marlins, Have to say disappointed he was never able to lead the Tigers to a World Series crown when they had such great opportunities 10-15 years ago. Nonetheless, watching him play here over that period he truly is a one of a kind player & spirit.
