Agree that Hot Hot Hot is THE quintessential "flicker the lights, here comes the show" song for a Buffett performance. If that doesn't get the juices flowing don't know what does.
Speaking of Margarita's as I mentioned earlier in the week, tomorrow is the Taco's & Tequila tasting event with live music performed by the 70's band War up the road at the Soaring Eagle Casino! We went to the event back in 2019 & my fave was a Spicy Mango Margarita. They gave us enough drink tickets to double back to your favorite drink if you desired & the SMM was an easy choice for me. Hopeful that same recipe will be available tomorrow. Review forthcoming later.....

91 here. Larry is going to grill a stuffed chicken later. Hope it is cooler but I doubt it.

Astros won last night. Tonight's game is on Apple tv. Kinda remember last year that I could watch the game on YouTube. No Apple here. Hope I can figure it out by game time

Federal election day here in Oz.

Just rechecked the list of candidates for my electorate and there's still none I want give my vote to.

We have compulsory voting, so it's off to the local soldiers memorial hall for us this cold but clear morning. Hopefully something will come to me on the walk into town to vote and get a democracy sausage for breakfast.

Compulsory? Whoa! We have scores that don't vote even during the most contentious races.

I hate listening to Astros games on radio.
The announcers are doing their best but I want to SEE the plays.

And Astros lost. Back tomorrow for anorher Rangers game.

Yes. Unlike many democracies, Oz has chosen to prevent the parties from disenfranchising people, so you are required to vote.

If you don't get you name ticked off at a polling booth, you will get a fine in the post.

That combined with the preferential voting system makes it hard for parties to fudge the vote.

We have the complete opposite problem, in we don't track those who do vote accurately, and encourage such.
