I only quit one job with no warning. New company took over lunch service. Owner didn't like me. He was a yeller. One day after lunch, he called me to yell at me. I still don't know exactly why. I told him I didn't like being yelled at...I was older. He told me he was too old to change.
I told him I was too old to take it. I quit.

When I was 18, my father got me a job in an auto factory. They pay was like $15 an hour. This is when minimum wage was maybe $4 so it was ALOT of money to an 18 year old. I had to lift a bumper and put it into a welding machine, then take it out and put it back on the conveyer belt. Repeat over and over and over again. I forget the number, but we did like 400 bumpers that day which was low because of the skinny kid at the end of the line holding things up (Me). Those bumpers were maybe 40 lbs each, which for a 140 pound kid, was a lot of weight.
I got home and was exhausted and sore. My father asked me if I wanted to make a living with my body, or with my brains. I never went back, not even to pick up my pay check.
I think about 2 months later, I was an Electrical Engineering School. That really didn't work out real good, but at least it was a turning point.

LOL...not that it didn't work out well, as I graduated Engineering School with a 3.91 GPA. After getting into the field, I was working with a bunch of electrical geeks and didn't like it. But, I still use a lot of the common sense knowledge learned. All worked out.

I don't have a garden to weed.
Twin Peaks just sent an email to remind me that tomorrow is National Bourbon Day, so I'm getting a head start on that holiday celebration.
