Independence Day eve SUNDAY @ the MSC

For us working stiffs, welcome to three day weekend hump day. Although I think I will head up to the office for a bit to get some things done.
Took my 15-year-old grandson to see Top Gun yesterday. Seemed to move a bit slow but in the end was the kind of movie I guess you would expect it to be, which was OK.

Considering a run down the road to Pine Knob tonight. Late 80’s/early 90’s bands Barenaked Ladies, Gin Blossoms and Toad the wet sprocket are playing. BNL are the headliners but I’m not too familiar with their catalog. A couple songs I know. I do own & enjoy the greatest hits of other two bands so I think the potential is there to enjoy the show. Checked on tickets a couple days ago and they seemed pretty reasonably priced and had quite a few left although I think with the great weather forecasted for tonight the walk up crowd will be pretty good. We’ll see if I’ll be rocking tonight. Only time will Tell‼️

Enjoy your Independence Day gang!

Is it Christmas already??😋

Beautiful weather this weekend, upper 80's.😎

Yesterday was a Mom visit, grab a little lunch, grocery shopping, laundry, got suitcases all put away. It's so nice to have Cameron's old room for storage now. Made Imo's Pizza for dinner. Then crashed on the couch watching previous seasons of "Yellowstone". Good show.

Today is a little more laundry. Dinner, with Cameron and his girl coming over.

That's it from here!

Oh, and I DID apply for that other job yesterday. 🙂

Good afternoon. It's 88 degrees, the heat index is 103 and it's supposed to get hotter, as high as 96. Today might be an indoor kind of day.

I like Yellowstone too, except for one thing - the daughter. The character has no redeeming qualities.

Hi there! We had a nice lunch out, but there is still room for ice cream later.

I'm excited for that job, Penny!

Have fun at the concert, Ken.

Larry, that is too hot.

The character maybe but I’m guessing lots of guys think she has other qualities 🤣

Overcast at beach today but the UV index is stilL at 7.

No official town fireworks last night bc of super high winds.
But The folks that set off some on the beach in front of our condo last night were promptly arrested.

Not as windy today so there is the possibility that the legit fireworks will go up as scheduled.

The temperature never made it into the 90s but the heat index is still over 100. I'm going to have a cold beverage as I sit in air conditioned comfort.

Afternoon BNers

Astros are playing Angels again.

Some of the fireworks displays in this area are being canceled because it is so dry. One of the big displays has been changed to drones. Would love to see it.

Cloud cover went away and it turned into a fantastic sunny with a light breeze afternoon. Sat for a few hours on the pool deck and caught up with a few other condo owners that we have met over the past few years. Again feeling Very blessed to have our great condo owner friends that continue to invite us to hang with them.

Aloha, peeps. 8)

Beautiful day here, too. Tonight we grill more seafood. Our fireworks will be tomorrow night.

Busy weekend at work. Serms like people forgot how to act after a 2 year lock up. That's why I propose another quarantine. Preferably 10 years.

Another day of some rain here. Haven't had the sprinklers on all week yet the grass needs cutting again for the 2nd time this week. Guess will fire up the lawn mower and enjoy a few cold beers riding around.

Does anybody have the top ten list of the "Summer Songs" being counted down on RM? I am too lazy to wait for them to get that far...

Hi there! We ran into 2 couples that have attended JB shows 10 years ago. Both guys are old friends. Two months ago lightning struck a pine and sent the charge 50 feet underground, burning down a big garage. He lost a 3 year old car and a wood shop. The other couple bought an old stone cottage on the river and redid the place. Pretty sweet.

Little better. Had some problems this week. Had to get a ultrasound on leg to rule out blood clot. Waiting for a MRI. Thinking a muscle or nerve damage on left rear femur. Also another problem involving sepository and cream.

Sorry for the issues, Moog, but nice to see you in the cafe.
