Nat'l Crush a Can TUESDAY @ the MSC

Post by Dr.Corona »

On September 27th, National Crush a Can Day dedicates time to educating the country about the benefits of recycling. Aluminum cans are the second most recycled material after steel in the United States.

I'm sure we have plenty of pholks here who often enjoy "crushing" cans (and bottles as well).
Let's do your national duty today gang!

Good morning. The title of today's thread inspired me, I'm going to take a ride to the recycling center and get rid of my empties. It's been about a month since my last trip.

Morning BNers

Been on the road about 2 hours. Almost to Baton Rouge.

When we moved into this house, they had a recycling route along with the trash pick up. Gave us a big trash can especially for recycling. It is nice to wheel the can once a week to the curb.

Wow. Your Rite Aid sells booze? As for your lunch date, who's having the tequila and who's having bourbon? :pirate:

Our teeny tiny town only has 1 state liquor store and yes it's in the Rite Aid. Our Kroger and Walmart sells beer, wine, liqueurs and mixers. And there are a number of drive thrus that sell beer and wine. The tequila is for Margaret and Rita and the bourbon is for Bryan!
I'm home now and getting ready to pour my first margarita! Care to join me?

State liquor stores confuse me. Texas has LOTS of privately owned liquor stores.

With the announcement about the October shows being either cancelled or rescheduled, depending on the venue, I will be Buffett-less this year. I was going to the Vegas show next weekend. I suppose I could still go to Vegas, I'm sure I could find something to do, but I'm going to cancel my hotel and flight and stay home.

We're Buffett-less right there with ya, Larry. Ah well.

Colorado has no state liquor stores. All privately owned, and a few national chains. We just got the laws passed 2? years ago to have beer in some grocery stores, but that's it.

That was easy. I didn't have enough frequent flyer miles for a roundtrip ticket to Las Vegas so I had one way tickets on 2 different airlines. Flights have been cancelled and the miles have been redeposited in both accounts already. Hotel reservation was cancelled and the concert ticket refund is being processed. Took less than 10 minutes to do everything. Maybe I'll have a beer to celebrate.

They just closed Disney Wed and Th, so I guess it is a good thing we left early. Sitting in a room watching it rain for 2 days doesn't sound like much fun..and expensive.

Hi phriends

Hope Jimmy gets well.

We are living Michi style today. 🀣

Sitting on the lanai drinking. Not much else to do. Steady drizzle since about 2 but no wind yet. The critters love it as no one is around. 2 Bobcats have passed by looking at us.

Looks like Venice is now in the hot seat. At least till the next update. πŸ€”

Have a great afternoon.
