After I left Old Chicago, I went to the park. The temperature was only in the low 60s but it was a beautiful sunny day. I saw a guy go by on roller blades, he had knee pads on but wasn't wearing a helmet. I guess he doesn't want to get his knees all cut up if he falls but he doesn't care about splitting his melon open on the sidewalk.

Old Chicago has a new item on the menu, it might just be for Halloween because it's called the Hot Honey Thriller Pizza. It starts as a regular pizza then they add bacon, Italian sausage, pepperoni and red pepper and finish it off with a hot honey sauce drizzled on top. The bacon and sausage are crumbled so you don't have big chunks of meat. I'm not much of a honey fan but it was pretty good. I might have it again the next time I go, I have $5 in my OC rewards account.

It is only mid-October. Generally when all door walls and windows are wide open. Yet, we are planning to have a fire in the fireplace tonight.

The high temperature here was 81 both yesterday and Sunday. Today's high was 63 and it's supposed to be in the 30s overnight.

Wife has a fire in the outdoor firepit started, and sitting with the neighbor. I imagine there is wine involved.

We had 88° two days ago and today it's 66°. We're supposed to get rain this weekend; they say it will be more than we've had in total in the last four months. But then again, we've only had .5" since June. At least the rain will wash the smoke and ash out of the air and maybe help with the wildfires.

The aastros will play the Yankees starting tomorrow.


In the 60's today. I am actually wearing jeans! Going to be in the 40's during the night. Might need to add another blanket.
