Welcome to November TUESDAY @ the MSC

Post by Dr.Corona »

Good early morning!
Saying hello to November today, home of Turkey Day, Black Friday, Grandmothers Birthday & #1 Grandsons Birthday. Not to mention Election Day (dropped my ballot last night).
Also a reminder that the calendar year really IS winding down & that for us Northerners that seasonal chill in the air is fast approaching. Also time to start & prepare for the Christmas season as well.
Dang, so much to gear up for! Need to get my lazy butt outta bed & get moving 😉
Have a great day everyone

Good morning, Ken. You hit all the highlights of the month. One part of November I don't like is daylight savings time and revel when we spring ahead in March.
If I wasn't fishing in this all day rain,I'd be home doing something stupid.

Good Morning Fellas!

I called the ortho dr yesterday bc this weekend I had more pain in my wrist than since I fell on 10/7. I scheduled an appt for tomorrow at 8:45. They are wanting more xrays and are saying it appears am probably using it more than I should (But honestly, not anymore than since 10/7). They mentioned on the phone that no cast is probably no longer an option. Amazingly this morning it doesn't hurt :o

Amen! After we set the clock back on Sunday, our sunsets start happening before 5 pm!

Good morning Ken, Bill, Mr. SPH, and (((Linda))))..

I hope you get some more answers from the doc, Linda. Seems like a cast is what might be what's needed, just not wanted. :(

I like changing the clocks, ONLY because I hate driving to work in the dark, and that'll better come next Monday. :) (I leave the house around 6:00 am).

I had to call 911 this morning, as there was a homeless person that started a fire underneath the concrete pilons for our light rail system. Fire department got there QUICK.

Now to try and get some work done.

Good morning. I made it to November without having to wear pants. It's supposed to be 78 degrees today and the long range forecast is for temperatures in the 70's for at least the next week.

Afternoon BNers

It is only 64° and only going up 1 degree today. What happened to our 80s? It also rained during the night

Going for another game in Philly at 7:03. Sure hope they are successful and WIN today!!

Anyone familiar with rapper Takeoff?? He was shot and killed at a bowling alley last night. I don't have a clue who he is but quit killing people during Hallowee celebrations!!! There was also a stabbing at another gathering 😝😡

Good afternoon all. It is 68 degrees in central PA and it feels great. I went for a walk in just sweatpants and a t-shirt.
I drove my car with the moonroof open and the heat turned off. This is somewhat rare at his time of year.
A funny thing happened while driving my grand daughter to school this morning. We were coming across a small bridge
into a somewhat affluent neighborhood when we sighted flashing blue lights and smoke. A large garbage truck's load had
caught on fire. They dumped the whole thing in front of a very nice house that we pass every day and were fighting the
fire with portable extinguishers. We are talking TONS of smoking trash. After I dropped her off at school, I passed by again
and a fire truck was just leaving the scene. Did I mention the disabled cement truck just up the road that was making that
all just a little more complicated? Now they have to reload the truck with several tons of WET garbage.
Who's got the rum?

I should have gone for a walk on the boardwalk today instead of going to the park. On street parking is free November 1-February 28 in that part of town. I don't go there very often in the summer because I don't walk around with a pocketful of quarters and there are only a few parking meters that take credit cards, those spots fill up fast. Oh well, maybe tomorrow. I'll have a beer now. 🍺
