It is parade day!!!!!
It just started in downtown with at least 1 million Astro fans!!! As much fun as it would be to be celebrating, I will watch it from my couch!!!! People started lining up at 7:00 am. Wow.

I was wrong about the fire trucks....they are on double decker buses.

After feeling crappy this weekend back pretty close to normal today.
Nice Blue skies today but temps barely creeping into the 50's.
Mid week will be our warm up. Bring it on............

Trying a new place for (late) lunch, Tavern In Surfside. It's across Hwy. 17 from where I live and I've never been here before. It was called Lincoln Park Grill until about 3 years ago and I never went there either. The menu looks good but I'm going to start simple with a burger, it's hard to mess up a burger. If it's good, I'll come back and try something else.

I saw the Bud wagon and the Clydesdales when I still lived on Long Island, they were at a horse show at Belmont Park racetrack. Those horses are huge.

Yes, they are. I have seen them a few time in Texas and at different race tracks. One year, the traveled with the donkey from the Budweiser ad. Too cute.
One year, I took Daddy to the eye doctor in Amarillo and the team was at the fairgrounds. We got there early and got to watch them unload. So interesting. Then they took Daddy up to meet the team and dalmatian. My Daddy was so honored and excited.

Had a great time at the Vikings-Commanders game yesterday. Awesome tailgating and great game.
Washington fans very welcoming and there were THOUSANDS of Vikings fans in attendance.
Vikings were down 17-7 in the 4th quarter and came back to win it. SKOL VIKINGS!

I had a fiesta crunch burger - pepper jack cheese, lettuce, pico de gallo, chili garlic aioli and crispy tortilla strips. I decided against fries and had cole slaw as my side, the burger and the slaw were both good but the service left something to be desired. I was sitting at the bar and the bartender disappeared for long stretches of time. I'll give them another chance because it's so close to where I live and the rewards program looks good. One point for every dollar you spend, double points Mon-Fri between 2:00 and 4:00, $5 off after 100 points. If I go for late lunches I only have to spend $50 to get my 100 points. My thrifty self likes that.

Did you sit in the end zone where the winning FG was made? Was the only thing I saw on the replay. It was a quick flash but I did see folks holding up a SKOL sign

I am VERY picky with a Hamburger, as I don't do fast food or burgers in most places. I would do the Bison Burgers at M'villes, but those are now off the menus. Not sure what it is, but most I can just tell you the next morning that "I ate a burger last night".....we do have a local place which I am good with, but the wife doesn't eat hamburgers so we can rarely go there.
