We should be at our final destination in about 4.5 hours. Spent the night in Hays Kansas. Ready to be with the Ester family!!

Nebraska has one thing going for it if you're a baseball fan, the College World Series is in Omaha every year. Other than that I got nothing.

Not to worry, we only stayed a night, and back on the road to Oklahoma. And we're about 30 minutes from our hotel.

If you recall the trivia question from some time back, Nebraska is one of the two states (other being Hawaii) which I have never stepped foot in. Feel the same, I haven't missed much.....

Gorgeous day...in the 70's and sunny. Tomorrow will be ugly....rainy and cold. Larry is planning to put a turducten on the grill. Hope he and the bird won't we soggy.

Many, many years ago, when Ryan was in grade school, my Grandma died. They had made arrangements to be buried in Independence KS. We drove from Pampa to Independence with my parents. In that area, there isn't much. Ryan could not figure out where the houses on the wheat farms shopped. Lol.
On the way back to Pampa, he begged us not to leave him in Kansas!!!!!

I've never had it but it's a deboned chicken stuffed into a deboned duck, stuffed into a deboned turkey.
And then you cook it like that.
