Sleeping in SATURDAY @ the MSC

Good morning all.
Kevin & I were both awake and out of bed at 6:30 which is pretty close to then our alarms go off for work days

.
Nothing much going on here today - I've been using my Friday retirement day off for what I used to do on Saturdays. I will be painting a 4-ft tall bookcase today -- we got a 72" high white one and want the 2 (that are currently standing next to each other) to at least be the same color. 2 new white end tables should be arriving soon. All of this is going on in our 3rd bedroom which is used as a computer/music room (although there is a double bed size futon which we use on occasions when we have more than 2 overnight guests). There are a few PHs (some on BN) who have used the double bed and/or the futon

.

Good morning, Linda. I'm helping with our town light display today. Some displays are big with lots of bolts that need taken apart in the cold and some snow. Yay.........

Just finished breakfast at our local diner and now we're heading to our first visit with my in laws since they moved into an independent living apartment. After our visit we are planning on going shop lifting at Costco. It's cold and dreary in central Ohio today.

Good morning. It's a little chilly today, 45 degrees after a nice 68 degree Friday, but at least the sun's out. The forecast for tomorrow is 100% chance of rain, as much as 2 inches. I should get outside and enjoy the sunshine since tomorrow will be an indoor day.

First coat of paint on that bookshelf. It looks HORRIBLE. But, then I look at the small one in our guest room that was from the same company and which I painted white a few years back. Then I am encouraged.

Afternoon BNers
53 here and not getting much warmer. Brrrrr
I am working on a new project. I almost have all the components. I am going to try to pour resin. I obviously have never tried it before. No idea how this will work but I have some ideas....good luck to me. I will keep you posted.

I poured enough to cover a mosaic of plastic, pill sized beads in a four foot frame. Twice. Good luck( it may too late for this, but tap and shake to bring up air bubbles).

There's a softball tournament at the park. In January. When it's 48 degrees. I played softball for a long time, I wouldn't want to play in weather like this.

I just got the last things I needed. As soon as I clean off the table. I will give it a shot. I have some Mickey Mouse (shocking, I know.

) and a heart mold.

2nd coat of paint on he bookshelf. A 3rd will probably go on tomorrow but will wait and see how it looks when fully dried. All 4 shelves will be filled with something or other so Iām not too concerned. Kevin on The other hand. Lol. He considers the office his music room so he wants it to look better than I would.

Aloha, peeps.
Ran some errands and had a nice lunch in town. Been taking more turns to cook so tonight I made a short rib stew that has been simmering for hours and smells divine. Just right for chilly weather.

Hi there! I'm painting too. I'm doing a tropical sunset on a 2 foot metal star as a raffle prize at Cabin Fever. I have smaller stars getting painted as well.

What time should we be there, and what should we bring?

Just a quick progress report on my granddaughter, Jaidyn.
She is taking a lot of medication but expects to be back at school by the end of the month.
She is showing less symptoms of her kidney trouble, but we are watching her diet very carefully.
Her birthday is Monday. She wants me to make stuffed peppers for her dinner that day.
I'll be making that with all low-sodium ingredients.
Thanks to all who sent her phin-power and good wishes.
