Sleepy SATURDAY @ the MSC
Hello ????
Who slept in late this morning? Not me but I've been busy and just got a chance to take a seat at the computer.
Have a great day......it's another dreary one here at Ringville

Good morning, Linda. I thought it was 6:30 when I rolled out. It was 5:30.
If I wasn't fishing in this all day rain,I'd be home doing something stupid.

Good morning Linda and Bill. There's a place called The Boathouse that's having a BBQ contest today to raise money for a local charity. They're going to have a beer garden and live music. It's on the intracoastal so it's waterfront and it's supposed to be 78 degrees this afternoon. There's also a pro beach volleyball tournament by the boardwalk. Volleyball started at 8:00 and is scheduled to go until 7:00. The BBQ contest starts at noon. I can go to both of them. Beer, meat, music and beach volleyball, not a bad way to spend an early spring day.
what I really mean . . . I wish you were here

Sleep in? Gosh, I wish! I've been retired for going on 7 years and I'm still awake by 6:00 every morning. Six hours a night is all I seem to need.
Mrs SPH, OTOH, needs a minimum of 8, so I have a couple of hours of "me time" every morning to get things (quietly) done.

I know the voices in my head aren’t real, but sometimes they have really good ideas…..

Good morning all!
Larry, that sounds like a great day! It's 30 degrees here, sunny, but it snowed a bit overnight.
Sleep? I was awake at 4:30am, finally got up around 6:30
Showered, about to have some toasts, then off to visit Mom, groceries and liquor store. Then home the rest of the weekend.

Got up early to go to Animal Kingdom. It was really hazy and ugly earlier and we got sprinkled on. Then the sun came out and it got HOT. Heading back to the room before dinner.

The BBQ contest was pretty good - $20 for a wristband and you get unlimited samples. I got more than my money's worth. The BBQ teams all had names, my favorites were Pig Floyd, Deez Buttz and Smo' King. The meat was pretty good too, although one of the samples I had was kind of dry and that team didn't have any plastic squeeze bottles of BBQ sauce on their table like the other teams did.
These event organizers have to rethink what they mean by "beer garden". They had 3 women under a tent selling Bud, Bud Light, Michelob Ultra and 3 flavors of White Claw seltzer. The Boathouse is a bar/restaurant/music venue so I went inside to get a beer. They have a very small brewery on the premises and I tried their Irish Red. It was pretty good.
I went out back, they have a stage right on the intracoastal, and there was a guy singing and playing guitar. I didn't think he was very good.
I left to drive to the boardwalk to watch some volleyball. I was about halfway there and it started raining, not a downpour, but I didn't want to go to the beach in the rain so I came home instead. Good choice, it's pouring now.

Good evening gang!
Went & saw the Simon & Garfunkel Story last night. Fine musical performance by the band & the duo impersonating the folksy New Yorkers. Spanning their COMPLETE ride as a duo. Nice job of video facts n dialogue about their times together.
Did a 9-5’er today at the office. Minor wintry mix out there tonight but verrry windy.
Just finished watching the Owls of Florida Atlantic University punch their ticket to the hoops Final Four. My square came in on the final score so Cashed in for $100 in the process so not unhappy about that!
Enjoy your evening everyone

We spent the day at Animal Kingdom. Weird weather day but that's FL.
Still deciding what to do the last 2 days.....

I had a good day too. I was laying on my side for about hour. Then I switched sides for about an hour. Oh! I also went on back for a bit.
