Thankful it's THURSDAY & the MSC
Good Morning. We should have another beautiful weather day here in PA.
Yesterday was probably the most stressful work day I've had since I started this part-time retirement gig in mid-October.
Pennsylvania has a "Right to Know" act that allows anyone to request documents about anything. We have 30 days to fulfill the requests. I am that officer. This guy wanted tons of documents pertaining to stormwater management on an 80-acre property that was subdivided in the early 80's. I don't always have to gather the info but I need to compile what I'm giving from co-workers and send it off to the requester. The deadline for 2 of the same person's requests was yesterday. I only got the material from a co-worker at 2:00. I emailed one response (40 pages) and was preparing the 2nd one when he replied to the first saying "I apologize to you and the Township as I had the wrong parcel number on my request (that # would have nailed down the exact part of the property instead of the multiple acres that are now owned by several people) I am specifically looking for this _______". I will now be working on the request form to make sure this never happens again.
Thankfully today is my short day and I'm off on Fridays.

OUCH! That is a painful story, Linda.
If I wasn't fishing in this all day rain,I'd be home doing something stupid.

Morning BNers
Today is Dr day for Rx refills.
Trying to get all my drugs due at the same time.
We seem to have blue skies. Wonder how long it will last.

Good morning Linda, Bill, Deb, Larry, and Molly!
Linda - can you send the guy a bill for the extra work done for no reason??
Good luck at the Dr., Molly.
Not much here. Just ready for tomorrow to be over so the weekend can commence.

The hockey season ends tomorrow. The NY Islanders played their last game of the season last night and won, clinching the last playoff spot in the Eastern Conference. Two things happened with the Islanders making the playoffs:
1. By clinching the last spot they knocked the Pittsburgh Penguins out of the playoffs, ending their streak of 16 consecutive playoff appearances. That had been the longest current streak in the NHL.
2. The NY Islanders, NY Rangers and NJ Devils all made the playoffs. The Devils relocated from Colorado to NJ 40 years ago, joining the Islanders and Rangers in the NY metropolitan area. This is only the 4th time all 3 teams have made the playoffs in the same season.
I'm not a basketball fan, but the NY Knicks and Brooklyn Nets both made the NBA playoffs. This is the first time in 29 years that all 5 of the hockey and basketball teams made the playoffs in the same season. The Rangers won the Stanley Cup that year. I graduated from law school that year too.

just ate lunch at the new picnic table the Township bought and placed in the gated police car lot for us staff to use -- it's amazing what a little sunshine will do to my outlook on life

Sounds nice. No picnic tables here. And I just saw my first wasp yesterday, so my summertime fear is back.

I have reliable information that Buffett 2023 tour will not start today.

I was taking a walk in the park and a woman was approaching from the other direction walking a dog. As they got closer, the dog started coming over in my direction wagging its tail. When he got close to me I reached down to pet him and he sat down in front of me looking up at me as if I was supposed to stay there petting him until he decided it was time to go.

Hi there! My high school buddy joined me on the river today. He spotted deer twice on the way home. One was 8 feet fromthe car as Ipassed it. She was at eyeball level. Luckily, she was standing still.
If I wasn't fishing in this all day rain,I'd be home doing something stupid.

I’m allergic to bees and wasps. Epi pen always close by but I’ll take the risk to be outside.

I got stung by a wasp when I was a kid, right on my pinkie finger. Hand and arm up to my elbow swelled up. But that's it. I got stung by something in the bee'ish family a few years ago, and it only swelled up at the site of the sting. I just HATE them.
