Good morning, Linda. It's a beautiful day, but too windy for boating, so the day will be wasted away doing something else.
If I wasn't fishing in this all day rain,I'd be home doing something stupid.

Good morning Linda and Bill!
What am I doing? Working. But glad it's Friday. Doing more summertime laundry getting ready for vacation. 15 more days.
That's about it. Hope you have a good one!

Good morning.
On the way home from Charleston yesterday I stopped in Georgetown, or as the signs says "Historic Georgetown". It's about 35 miles south of here but except for driving through it on the way to Charleston for a concert, I had never been there. I had lunch at a waterfront restaurant called Buzz's Roost. They brew their own beer under the name Winyah Bay Brewing Co. and I had a Water Lizard IPA, it was a bad beer. After I finished my lunch I took a walk along the Harborwalk, it's a riverfront boardwalk with shops, bars and restaurants. On the way back to my car I took a stroll along Front St., it's a nice little downtown area with a lot of old buildings. They're having a Food, Wine & Beer Festival April 29 along the waterfront but I don't know if I want to make a 70 mile roundtrip to go to a festival. Besides the long trip, there isn't a lot of parking so that could be a problem if it's crowded.
Pat Benatar put on a good show but it was short, only about an hour and 20 minutes. There was an opening act whose name I didn't get, a woman who sang and played acoustic guitar with a guy playing electric guitar backing her up. She wasn't very good.

Whilst in SF, we stayed on Nob Hill and walked around the neighborhood a few times. On the corner of Clay and Taylor streets, there's a little corner grocery (VJ GROCERY) with this painted on the back wall:
In the movie, Steve McQueen lived across the street and bought his TV dinners at VJ's. Taylor street is one of the streets they go flying down in the car chase.
I asked Mrs SPH if she knew the significance of the painting and she said "Is that Robert Redford? Is that car the Green Hornet?"
I have an appointment with a divorce lawyer on Monday.....

Never been to Charleston but from what I’ve heard I wouldn’t mind a stay over there.LIPH wrote: ↑April 21, 2023 9:15 am Good morning.

Sorry that Pat played such a short show. When we saw her with her hubby there was no opening act and I think we got a 2 hr show with no break.

Re: FRIDAY @ the MSC
She said she'll be 70 this year and she didn't say when their anniversary is but they'll be married 41 years this year. A show business marriage that's lasted 41 years.
I had never seen her in concert before, except for 3 songs on the Today Show Friday Concert when I still had a job. She can still belt out those tunes. She did a couple of songs I didn't recognize and when she came out for the encore the first song she did was Helter Skelter. I was surprised she didn't do Hit Me With Your Best Shot, that was one of her biggest hits.

For the past three years, I have always worn a mask when in public. This weekend I let my guard (and mask) down and one off the 150 guests at the wedding gave me Covid.

Oh man. Hope the vaccine keeps it from being severe. That's what I'm afraid of being in a nursing home. I still mask-up inside any stores I go to as my husband has health issues and COVID could be bad for him, even after 5 shots. But our daughter is getting married in September since we will need to eat & drink, the masks won't be on. We are hoping that the semi-outside location and the fairly small size (<80) will mitigate the risk.

Since the uptick in mass shoutings Pat has declared she will not be singing Hit me with your best shot.LIPH wrote: ↑April 21, 2023 3:24 pmShe said she'll be 70 this year and she didn't say when their anniversary is but they'll be married 41 years this year. Have seen Benatar probably 5-6 times. Always great. Admit I’d be disappointed with an 80 minute show.
Saw Bad Company back about 15 years ago & they did an 80 minute show with minimum enthusiasm & effort it seemed. Fortunately was about 15 minute drive from home.
