Harry Belafonte — the "DAY‒O" guy, who was probably as responsible as anyone for bringing calypso music to the mainstream and undoubtedly was one of the first on the trail of Island Music that eventually led Jimmy to Margaritaville — passed away in New York on Tuesday the 25th. He was 96.
Sail on, Harry. Daylight come, and you're headed for home.

Doing pretty good. I'm up on my feet and the walker and cane are distant memories. And with the weather getting warmer — except for about two weeks ago when we got a foot of snow on Sunday the 16th... which was almost all gone by the following Wednesday — it won't be long before I'm gingerly trying to get back onto one of the bikes again.
