Then I called to make an appointment with my PCP for *drumroll please* May 31st. I then asked to be transferred to the nurses line and begged for them to call me if they have a cancellation or for some pain meds. I understand now how constant pain will drive you insane.![]()

How dedicated to the game were you Larry? I bailed after 2 OTβs. At that point the game was watching me instead of me watching it.

I watched the whole game, it ended just before 2:00am. The NHL's national TV contract doesn't allow teams to broadcast playoff games locally after the first round but the Hurricanes have still had their post-game show after every game. They didn't have a post-game show after this game.Dr.Corona wrote: βMay 19, 2023 6:06 amHow dedicated to the game were you Larry? I bailed after 2 OTβs. Longest game I ever witnessed was back in the 90βs I was working as penalty box attendant for the local minor league team. The home team scored on a power play
in the 3rd OT to get the win. Game felt like it would never end as hardly any great scoring chances the longer the game went.

It was the longest game in the history of both franchises and the 6th longest game in NHL history. The announcers said the previous longest game for Carolina was in 2002. Their coach, Rod Brind'amour, played in that game. Florida's coach, Paul Maurice, was Carolina's coach in 2002. I think they said that game was against Detroit and it went about 14 minutes into the 3rd overtime. Last night's (this morning's?) game ended with 12.7 seconds left in the 4th overtime.
