Nope. Just working. It's that Payroll Monday thing for me - and I usually get here at 6:30 am and not finished with it until 10:30..

Good afternoon ladies. I looked out back and there's a backhoe and a dump truck in the yard of one of the houses in the subdivision behind me. There's another house blocking the view between me and the house with the backhoe so even being on the 4th floor I can't see what's going on. Maybe having a pool installed?

Another cloudy day but 85 degrees. I am sure it is very humid.

I went to The Grumpy Monk for lunch today because, well, I'm grumpy. They used to have the beer list on a continuous loop on a TV monitor above the bar. Now you have to scan a QR code to get the beer list. The first time I went to a place where I had to scan a QR code I didn't know how to do it, I had to ask the bartender to help me.

Didn’t realize you were that close to their single family homes. Thinking they would be a little out of our price range.

Around here a backhoe in the yard is one of two things... either a pool or a new septic system!

It took us a while but we learned how to scan the QR code for all sorts of menus during covid.. There are still some smaller places that stuck with the method for their menus.
