Today is my 'Friday'. Off tomorrow for Mom's service at Ft. Logan.

Good Morning Ken & Penny

I'm back at work after our 6-day adventure to Myrtle Beach. At least it's my short day and I'm off on Fridays

We spent some time driving around MB communities and were able to add a few to our list (and scratch off a few as well). We met up with our friends' realtor who we really like and she sent us info on 3 current homes for sale before we even got home last night .

We were so happy to have the chance to be on the beach a few days but especially on Saturday .

We found the "remembering Jimmy Buffett" soundtrack on Amazon Music. We listened the whole way home last night (all 11 hours) and loved hearing to many of the older songs that most don't know by heart .

Good morning peoples. The Pelicans are playing at home this week and there are only 4 games left in the regular season. I'm trying to decide if Friday or Saturday will be my game of the month. Saturday is Fan Appreciation Night. I'm surprised they're not doing that Sunday, the last game of the season.

Good morning everyone! Glad to see BN is back up after a couple of days down. Was worried it would be long term.

Was just remembering my last Buffett show, the last show on last year's tour, Alpine Valley.
It was my daughter's first (and last) ever Buffett show, so glad Elena finally got a chance to see him before it was too late (and we got a DOUBLE tailgate!)

Loved the setlist from that day, and the last song I got to see him do was "Tin Cup Chalice". Nice way to end it.

I'm off today, catching up on a few chores. Going to get my nails done a little later today. Bryan has requested Cornflake Chicken which is what we call oven fried chicken. So I pulled some out to thaw.

I've continued to read all of the articles online about the man, the myth, the legend. I can only read a few at a time before I get teary eyed. So far I have kept it together today and haven't dissolved into a puddle. Give me time there's plenty of time left in the day! (I'm no quitter)

One of the lesser known songs that I have rediscovered is Wheel Inside The Wheel.

When I was driving to the Red Cross for my platelet donation, I was stopped at a red light on Hwy. 17. There was an electronic billboard with rotating messages at the intersection. The message changed to a big picture of Buffett on stage playing the guitar and it said JIMMY BUFFETT - A LEGEND NEVER DIES 1946-2023.

I was listening to Radio Margaritaville in my car yesterday while out running errands. They played “Little Miss Magic” (the Delaney version) and I got all teary eyed and almost lost it.
For those of you who haven’t heard the story, my she-‘keet Nicole got married in April and we danced the father/bride dance to “Little Miss Magic”. Later in the evening I had several different women come up to me and tell me that their husbands were crying during our dance.
One said "I looked over and Tom was crying and then he said “Oh my god, they’re singing the lyrics to each other. They both know the words!" and he started sobbing!”
Several admitted to being Parrotheads and one said she’d been to 17 JB concerts, including “I was pregnant with AJ (her son, the best man) when we saw Jimmy at The Gorge in ‘92.”
(Nicole has been going to JB concerts with me since she was 10, including Auburn, Waikiki, and Vegas.)
