Finally Friday @ the MSC

Post by SMLCHNG »

Good morning, and Happy Friday (for those of us still working) ;)

So happy that I didn't have to deal with the boot in the car this morning! :D :D

I got to work at 6:15 today, so I could catch up on some stuff with no one here, and I got MOST of it done. I'm waiting on someone else to update a file, before I can do my part.

E will be home in a few hours! :D :D

Hope everyone has a good day!!

Good Morning Penny & those to come!
Glad to hear you're bootless Penny & that E is homeward bound.
Dreary fall like day today. Far from beach weather.
Will need to gather my football "gameday" paraphernalia tonight for 7:15 am takeoff tomorrow. I've turned into such a last minute person later in life & I really don't know why [smilie=noeyedear-shrugging.gif]

Good day Gang!

Good morning Penny and Ken.

I was listening to the radio while I had breakfast, I was tuned to the local country station. A song came on, a country song, that started with the guitar riff from David Bowie's Rebel Rebel.

Well, ONLY for walking to/from the car. I still have to wear it all day. But that's such a GREAT relief to not have do deal with taking it on/off to drive. :D

We're getting our house repainted this week and all the windows are covered with tape and plastic and such.
It only stands to reason that yesterday was 90°... a new record for the date (22° hotter than "normal").
We have a portable AC that we use to cool off our bedroom to be able to sleep at night, but with all the windows taped shut it just sat worthless in the corner. It was a miserable night.

There's a place in town called The Sneaky Beagle, it's been open for a few years but I've never been there. I was going to try It out for lunch today. I got there and the parking lot was full, not one open spot, and there were cars parked on the grass around the lot. I just kept driving. It used to be called Longbeard's and they had wild game on the menu, elk and bison and stuff like that. I was never there when it was Longbeard's either. Maybe I'm just not meant to eat there.

Late checkin for me.

Made a few calls continuing to line up general practitioner and all specialist. It's a daunting task when you need to do all of them at one time. Plus figure out this new thing called Medicare and my supplemental ins and how that fits in with all the new drs.

But,I got to the beach with friend Esther while her husband Scott & Kevin went to the pool. The beach was overcast so we only stayed about an hour and left just when it was starting to "drip".

Let night we went to an amazing place for dinner (a seafood place -- can't remember the name) to celebrate friend Scott's (Esther's husband) 65th birthday. It was on the beach, we got to sit out on the deck, and there was a musician there who was really good.

We're getting ready to sit down and watch some TV (we're re-running Dexter). Amazing how we don't remember so much of it ;).

Sea Captain's House maybe? I don't eat seafood but I think it's on the beach and it's supposed to be very good.

Yikes and YUCK! I hope your plastic comes off ASAP!
I think that fall is the only season I open ANY windows! Spring would be tempting, temperature-wise... but that is pollen season!

My criteria when I had to change doctors was 1) are they covered in my plan, 2) how far away is their office, and 3) can I pronounce their name?

That's getting harder & harder. Our PCP in Pennsylvania was known as Dr "I". One that I've already scheduled down here is known as Dr "B".
