Last October SUNDAY @ the MSC

Post by Saltx3 »

Good Morning!

We woke up to see that it rained overnight -- YAY -- it's been 28 days since we had any rain. Although it doesn't appear that we had enough to make a dent in the drought.

Heading to 10:45 church service and then after that ....... no clue - but it doesn't seem like it will be a beach day.

I may empty out the server furniture piece and clean it with water and vinegar. It still has a strong "new furniture" smell which is not very pleasant. We bought large charcoal filled bags on Amazon that are to help with oder absorption but they didn't make any difference after 2 weeks so we returned them.

I know -- soooooo much excitement :).

Hope your day is wonderful.

Good morning, Linda. We are also quite dry with a warming trend this week. It was 23 this AM.
If I wasn't fishing in this all day rain,I'd be home doing something stupid.

Good morning Linda and Bill.

I haven't driven my rental car since Thursday and I probably won't go anywhere today either. I can go for a walk around the neighborhood like I did yesterday instead of going to the park.

Afternoon all.

Another night of stupid sleeping - dreams with my Dad in them, and it was rather realistic. :-?

A/C is running, it's getting close to 80. Possible snow on Wednesday. Made breakfast, unloaded/loaded the dishwasher, ran the vacuum, cleaned my small humidifier, and our new bed was delivered around 8:00am. We had moved everything from in front of the patio door so they could bring it in that way, right into the bedroom. They were in/out/set up in 10 minutes. Gave them a nice tip.

Having dinner with a former co-worker this evening. I haven't seen him in close to 2 years. He was always a favorite friend. :)

Off to work on some laundry.

Can't wait to sleep in the new bed tonight! :D

Afternoon all!

Still sunny and dry here in MA... but on the cool side today... it is 55° now.

The local Catholic church had a small fire (apparently arson :o  ) on Thursday and they are still cleaning up the smoke damage so they told parishioners to bring lawn chairs for an outside Mass... I hope they bundled up it was 31° at the time it was scheduled! :o

The new bed looks nice Penny! The last mattress set we got was SO much taller than our old set that, at 5"2", I needed a step stool to get in without "jumping"... I hope that is not the case for you!

Linda I hope you can find something that treats the odor! I am surprised the charcoal did not work, but glad you can return it!

I went for a walk around the neighborhood. It's 65 degrees, which isn't cold, but it's nasty out. It's damp and windy. Not 25mph windy but enough that I was glad I wore a hat so my hair didn't get messed up.

Hi there! I visited with an 81 year old acquaintance who travels a lot and was in the Bahamas last week. We had a beautiful week here. He did not.

The sun hasn’t shown its face yet today but that’s ok. We’re just glad the 2 newly planted trees are getting a drink that we don’t have to pay for.

Just wiped down the buffet/server with a 50/50 solution of vinegar and water. I put a container of straight vinegar in each cabinet and have the doors closed. We will let it like that until tomorrow. Hopefully that will help with the chemical smell.

When we had the Carolina Cabana maiden beer samples on Friday Kevin thought they need a little bit more foam so before bed he turned the pressure up a little bit. He’s questioning whether that’s what caused the leak. But then again why would only 1 leak….the mystery continues.

Other part of mystery is he doesn’t think the concrete floor & 2 small carpets absorbed 5 gallons. There was some in and under the fridge crisper drawer but not much. We may need to empty the fridge, Unplug it and tilt it to see if there is any liquid laying somewhere that we can’t see. That would be a job for tomorrow.

Our current bed is so high that when Kevin sits on it his feet can’t be flat on the floor and he’s 6’1.

I posted this on FB but wanted to share here since there are quite a few BNers in some of the artwork that our very own Bodypainter gave to us.

Garage decorating done. Paying tribute to the Parrothead friends who donated 5 pieces of artwork to the cause. Bill for 3 pictures (including the large parrot artwork that so many of our Parrothead friends signed) and Tim who donated the autographed Yuengling poster.
Bill also made the Calamity Cove sign which pays tribute to our former home lower deck that Kevin built with a friend.
6 hours into that 2013 DIY project Kevin tore his bicep tendon. Hence the “Calamity”. 🙂

The banner is also signed by several BNers who were at the JB show in Hershey PA which was our “backyard venue”.

I hope you can open the link.

Well we have the P&E collection, a few years in the making. ;) We have a few pieces that we'll take to TX when it's time to move. :D No garage or extra space here right now.

We went to dinner with a former co-worker and had a great time. Went to Dukes, our favorite Friday night place. :D

Falling asleep soon.

G'night all.
