Am I missing something this Monday???
Was there a mass evacuation of SC (or CO) that I did not hear about?
I can not recall the last time I opened this joint... if I ever did...
Luckily, I found a key under the fin-shaped rock by the door!
Hope all is well with everyone... things here sunny, cool, and dry... in other words. same old /same old!

Ha! I’m still here. Just got busy this morning and then lost track of the day. lol. I think folks are scared to open up or maybe they couldn’t find the key.
Beautiful day in Myrtle beach but a little too much wind with the lower temps to go to the Beach.
We pulled out the garage fridge and li and behold the “defrost” tray was filled with beer. It’s all cleaned out no so hopefully we won’t be smelling beer anymore. Unless it’s in our glasses.

Afternoon ladies!!
Work has been a nut house today. Non-stop stupidity and needy.
Beautiful 72 and it's an hour away from going home.

Good thinking! I am not sure I would have thought to check for a defrost tray!Saltx3 wrote: ↑October 28, 2024 4:18 pm Ha! I’m still here. Just got busy this morning and then lost track of the day. lol. I think folks are scared to open up or maybe they couldn’t find the key.

Re: Am I missing something this Monday???
A friend left ice cream in an ancient deer camp fridge that was unplugged for the winter. A week after he did that, I helped clean the freezer, which wasn't bad.I then thought of the clean out tray . What a MESS! Had that not been cleaned, the glop would be there for months before it would be found.Saltx3 wrote: ↑October 28, 2024 4:18 pm Ha! I’m still here. There's a reason I just drink beer, I don't brew it.

Hi there! What a great day of sun and fishing. Two bald eagles cruised at tree top level.
Our contractor told Anne a childhood memory of me. He was a student of mine and in that small school I taught art in the classroom. He told Anne that he waited for my knock on the door. It was the highlight of the week.

Re: Am I missing something this Monday???
Just got an email from Michi. Felt compelled to share.
19 years ago, my two young daughters adopted a "rescue" kitten which was hit by a car on a busy local road without my knowledge or permission. Knowing that I wasn't going to allow them to keep her, they collectively came up with this idea of naming her "LuLu", after Lucy Buffett, as we were taking weekend boat trips for lunch from our home to LuLu's in Gulf Shores, AL. On one of those first trips afterwards, my daughters had the opportunity to meet Lucy Buffett at LuLu's and shared their story of this kitten, which would become known in our house as "Lucy". I won't forget the patience that Lucy showed two little kids by standing by the table and listening to their story with a huge smile on her face. An example of the class of the Buffett's.
This past week, after 19 years, we lost Lucy peacefully. Even though she was always a part of the family, losing her has been much harder on our family than I would have ever expected, including myself.
I reached out to Lucy Buffett via email and shared with her the story of the kids adopting her, naming her, and the conversation which was had at LuLu's in Gulf Shores many, many years ago. I was not anticipating any type of response, but doing such was my way of gaining "Closure" for myself.
I received the following this afternoon.
What a lovely yet bittersweet note. I send my condolences for the loss of your little furry Lucy. In our family our pets are our family. And their departure is not easy on the heart.
What a lucky Lucy she was to have you and your girls be her people in this lifetime. I love to think all of our spirit animals visit us in our dreams on a regular basis. And also, the pain of the loss is worth all the years of love and all the wonderful memories.
Sending vibes of comfort and peace to you and yours. Thanks for letting me know of your sweet experience here at LuLu’s so many years ago.
Kindly,
Lucy Buffett

Not definitively but Kevin is thinking the cranked up pressure was a little too much for that hose (which was new )Caribbean Soul wrote: ↑October 28, 2024 6:00 pmGood thinking! I agree!
When our cat passed, she was just shy of 21... (having made 5 cross-state moves and putting up with her 2 younger human "siblings") it was a LOT harder than I imagined... as Lucy said in her lovely note back to Michi, they really are part of our families.
