On the way out of October TUESDAY @ the MSC

Post by Saltx3 »

Good Morning:

We awoke to something that looked like rain had fallen.....good thing....we had 28 straight days of no rain.

I posted this picture on FB which is what I saw then I went out to the sunroom this morning :).

Please send rain. It’s been over a month since we’ve had any rainfall. Fall is hiding from us. I’m over the heat.

Other than that - things are good in Aggieland.

Good afternoon. I was just about to go out and it started raining. It stopped already but everything's wet. No rain for 28 or 29 days, now it's rained twice since Saturday night. Not heavy rain but just enough to be annoying. Maybe I'll go walk the mall, I need my daily exercise.

Very dry here too... we were forecast for some rain today, so far nada. :-?

Woke up to discover that one of the faucets in our bathroom upstairs had a leak... it's always something... :(
LUCKILY it was confined to the inside of the vanity and did NOT get to the floor, (which would have caused an issue with our kitchen ceiling) so there's that. We used the shutoffs under the sink and there is no new water... so now we are just awaiting a call back from our plumber... who used to live down the street but has recently moved - darn it!

I heard Teri Garr died, she was 79. I always liked her, one of the best comic actresses around.

The wonderful woman had MS and struggled with it for years. We raised money at tailgate to fight it.
If I wasn't fishing in this all day rain,I'd be home doing something stupid.

Indeed she was. "Close Encounters", "Mr. Mom", "Tootsie", "Oh God!" and of course "Young Frankenstein". She was wonderful.

We can't compete with rain, cause we're supposed to be getting snow starting early morning tomorrow... Ah well, it's that time. :-?

Good luck with the plumbing leak, Elaine! :(

Nice rainbow, Linda!! :)

It rained a little off and on most of the day. Kevin still watered the palm tree since what fell from the sky wasn’t enough for the tree.

Well... after 2 consecutive frost warnings (and fire alerts) we are headed to possible record highs tomorrow & Friday over 80°
:o

Thanks! It was an easy fix... a failed O-ring in the water supply pipe going to the faucet. It was a $50 service call fee only,(well worth it because there was no way either one of us was going to crawl into the cabinet! ) he did not even charge for the new ring. Since both sinks in our Master Bathroom have the same faucet, I had better keep a good watch on my own as it may fail too. Oh, joy!
