All Saints Day FRIDAY@ the MSC
Good morning BN. I'll pack away decorations at home, then this afternoon we start moving Christmas displays in town.
If I wasn't fishing in this all day rain,I'd be home doing something stupid.

Re: All Saints Day FRIDAY@ the MSC
Good Morning Bill & all my other MSC friends.
Looks like a beautiful day of weather. We were at the beach for 2 hrs yesterday -- it was amazing. Kevin sends a pic to his former co-workers with some snarky comment like....ho-hum, just another day at the beach....
We had 150 trick or treaters last night. We parked 2 chairs on the driveway and sat there to watch everything (we never did that before). Good thing the weather cooperated.
Tonight we are having a new neighborhood couple visit - they too are across the pond. When we were under agreement & joined the private community FB page we were posted various things like -- where would we go for _______. How do we do _______, etc. Cheryl replied a few times & we got to chatting. She comes & goes from here to their other home (I don't remember the location) but her husband Mark came "down" for Halloween. They will both be leaving next week. I believe their plan is to move in full time once Mark is retired. They are big Grateful Dead fans so Kevin is anxious to meet them.
Enjoy your day !

Good morning.
The streak continues, 12 years and no trick or treaters.

Yeah, whatever. It's 47°F and raining here.... fall has fallen on the Upper LH Corner.Linda!Linda!Linda! wrote: Looks like a beautiful day of weather. We were at the beach for 2 hrs yesterday -- it was amazing.
I guess the good news is that the rain held down the number of Trick or Treaters last night, the bad news is that Mrs SPH and I now have to find a way to dispose of half a Costco-sized bag of Halloween candy.... one bar at a time, I guess.
Get off my lawn!

The Hurricanes had a game last night and because it was Halloween a lot of the fans were in costumes. They have a player named Seth Jarvis. In a lot of the interviews he does he wears a "HARVARD ALUMNI" t-shirt with the sleeves cut off and a backwards baseball cap. He's not a Harvard alum, one of the other players on the team is and he gave the t-shirt to Jarvis. There was a kid in the first row of seats behind the Hurricanes bench wearing a Harvard t-shirt with the sleeves cut off and a backwards baseball cap. At the end of the game the players had plastic buckets of candy and were throwing it into the stands for the fans. The real Seth Jarvis brought mini-Jarvis out on the ice with him to help throw the candy to the fans. When all the candy was gone, Jarvis gave his hockey stick to the kid. He probably has a fan for life now.

Linda- we had about 100 kids last night and we also sat outside in Adirondack chairs to distribute the loot! I can't recall doing that before here in MA. And this afternoon, I had to flip the A/C upstairs unit on yet again... in freakin' November!
Moog - Happy Birthday to Rasppy!
As a kid, I always was annoyed at my Mom's OB for scheduling her C-section a day later as All Saint's Day was a day off for me in the 12 years I spent in Catholic school, All Souls Day however, was not.

I don't like chocolate (as many know) so any extra goes straight to Kevin...but we only had 6 bite size packages last night so he had them gone in 3 minutes.

Re: All Saints Day FRIDAY@ the MSC
Good evening all. Back to work today, and I left at 1:45 for a blood draw, prior to my giving blood again next week.
But we ARE HOME!! We are beyond pleased at the work that was done with the carpets and cleaning! Shampooed, vacuumed, ALL baseboards cleaned, both bathrooms cleaned! We have A LOT to put away, and wipe off, but we are VERY happy. (Even the towels in the bathrooms were hung like we were in a hotel. I was just cleaning up the pizza we got for dinner, and I noticed that the microwave and been cleaned in/out, including the vents above. I also just found that the bathroom mirror and light bulbs above it were also cleaned. The only issue was someone turned on our ceiling fan to high, and it needed dusting before they did that, so there's a dusty mess on the bed. I'll wash the comforter tomorrow.
Larry - that story was one of the BEST, and why I like most sports.
Happy birthday to Edith, Mooooogy!!!
We had no trick-or-treaters, because we were at a hotel. E and I are gonna spit the goodies, and take it to each of our jobs.
