1st Day of Spring THURSDAY @ the MSC

Post by Saltx3 »

Good Morning !

It's Spring !!! (at least on the calendar). I'm anxious to see how I do with allergies since we didn't get here in MB until the end of June. So far so good even though it seems the entire county is covered in yellow/green tree pollen :).

Heading out to food shop and then the neighbor/girlfriend with the broken foot is treating me to lunch for all the help and support I've given her.

Then 3:30 yoga and 6:30 church small group gathering.

Yesterday we finished putting the ornamental cement pavers around the base of the palm tree. It was only a 15 min job but it looks sooooo much nicer and will keep the mulch corralled. Now we have to get 15 bags of mulch to lay on the newly dug up (and planted with 10 Liotrope) flower bed.
A friend gave me a lovely 2-gal knock-out rose bush that wasn't doing well at her house so Kevin has another hole to dig :). Gotta keep him busy :)

Good Linda. Keep Kevin busy. He needs stay fit.

My mom was an English teacher and loved this poem

Spring has sprung

the bird is on the wing

Oh, my word

how absurd

the wing is on the bird!
If I wasn't fishing in this all day rain,I'd be home doing something stupid.

Good morning Linda and Bill.

I'm going to have to pay attention to the NCAA Basketball Tournament. St. John's, one of the schools I went to, is the #2 seed in their region. They won the Big East Conference regular season championship for the first time in 40 years, one of their players was the Big East Player Of The Year for the first time in 39 years, they won the Big East Tournament Championship for the first time in 25 years and I think they finished the season ranked #6 in the country. Maybe they can win one for former coach Lou Carnesecca, who died last year just a few weeks before his 100th birthday. 🏀

Food shopping done. We’re on the back porch with the windows open and a nice breeze coming through with a little help from the ceiling fan. We are soooo fortunate that the sun is only in here from sunrise until about noon.

Good morning from Galveston!

We're having a windy and cool morning, but it's getting better. Will head to the pool in a bit. Already had a great breakfast at "The Gumbo Diner" this morning. So much good food so far.

Tomorrow we pack up, return the rental car, and head to board the ship.

Congratulations to Rabz!! 👍

Good afternoon all. Just spent time with some of my brothers on the deck with some cigars.
Sunny and warm out. Crappy weather coming soon. But I finally put the snow shovels out of sight. :pirate:

Evening, peeps.

Cloudy and drizzly in Vacationland but Lime >>> :D because we are headed to Bahamas tomorrow! Chores are done and we are both all packed, which never happens this early. We’ll grab dinner at a little Italian restaurant downtown and start vacation tonight.

Happy Friday Eve, y’all! 8)

I stopped to get a haircut this afternoon. There's a cell phone repair store next to the place I go to, for some odd reason the name of the place is Cell Phone Repair. Or CPR for short.

Usually, I only care about the NCAA because of Purdue, but this year we are also cheering on St. John's as that is Jim's alma mater. I did not know you shared a school with both of us! :o How funny!
I did look at the brackets and saw that the only way the two would meet is in the final game... and I have to say I would probably hope for a St. John's win... for Lou ... I just won't tell my Boilermaker son and daughter-in-law
