I gotta ask you, Freddyfishstick was Jimmys "Monster" name or party name how did you hear of this?I can't remember-did he put it in a song?
Too many tours-you'll have to fogive me!
Legend has it that Jimmy played a few small clubs in the 80's billed as "Freddy and the Fishticks." I think that's how I heard of the name.

WO,

It is a tale in Jimmy's book, "Tales from Margaritaville" Really a funny story,

Also, When I lived in Summit County Colorado I heard that Freddy and the Fishsticks were playing in Aspen, ( early 90's) I knew that it was going to be a small crowd with Jimmy and probably a small band. I was a very poor ski bum at the time and tickets were pricey and I didn't go :( I have always wished I had just maxed out the CC and gone for it.

Hey, Josh, I'm the one who originally asked where you were. You were absolutely fantastic in that video, you and JB seemed to really have it when you played together. One thing I noticed now a days is nobody in the band really steps up and plays a role with Jimmy on stage. It's basically just Jimmy, whereas, in that video, you really made an impact with the band.

Me and my friend absolutely love the One Particular Harbor song, an absolute classic on the "Live By the Bay." You and Jimmy took down the roof with that song. I went to see Jimmy on June 22nd in Chicago and fortunately four people didn't show up in our row (so there was a lot of space). When JB played OPH, my friend and I were playing our fake guitars and moving back and forth with each other as you and JB did in the video.

It was awesome, anyway, it's great that you are posting and I've done enough rambling. Here are a couple questions.

If you don't mind telling us, why did you leave the band, do you and JB speak and could you have ever imagined JB going so strong all these years later?

Just got an email from "Mr. White Overalls" and Josh mentioned that some of the great questions you guys are asking are similar to what he and I discussed in our interview.

That Interview will be published at JimmyDOTcom tomorrow, but I'm sure that you guys will still have a lot of other questions to add and or that will follow up to what Josh and I talked about in the interview. We of course go into that infamous evening at the Miami Marine Stadium that became known to many of us as "Live By The Bay."

Rest assured that Josh isn't going anywhere, and will be around on the BN Discussion Area for some time to come. In the meantime, go to http://www.vinylkings.com and order Josh's new CD "A Little Trip" which starts out with the title song which tells the story about how Josh was inspired to buy his first guitar and become a musician. It will give you a lot more info to talk to Josh about what's been going on in his world since he left the Coral Reefers.

As soon as the Interview is published, those of you who are on the JimmyDOTcom mailing list will receive an email. I'll also make an annoucement on the boards here.

Mike -Thanks for starting this thread! It's nice to know people care about me! Like Jackson said I've answered the questions in the interview-
you and others take a look at the interview and visit the VK web site-but since you asked-Jimmy and I get along Great! No I had no idea he would get THIS big but I would have left anyway-Jackson covers the details. We'll talk later- if you have any more questions or comments after the interview ask away-this isn't over yet!! Josh

I spent a lot of time on the phone and trading emails with Josh last night finishing off the Interview. It's one I'm proud of. Really out of the ordinary stuff. Josh has been most candid and open during the whole process.

We talk about the night of the "Live By the Bay" Show, how he became a Reefer, thoughts about playing with Jimmy again, and much much more. It has been a pleasure and an honor getting to know this man.

And yes Josh, I plan on being at your Farm for your next year's 4th of July Blast. I can't think of a better way to celebrate the summer!

Hey Jackson,

I am really looking foward to hearing more about Josh! I went to the Vinyl Kings website but I couldn't find a list of tour dates. Would you happen to know how to find out when they might be touring?

I have watched "live by the bay" so many times the tape finally wore out, Its been awhile since I have seen it, I think I may hafta go order a new one!

Freddie

Nothing firm right now, but it looks like they may have a gig in Nashville in August if they don't end up having a corporate gig in the San Francisco area.

You sould go to Yahoo Groups and sign up on the Vinyl Kings Group. It's brand new and you will be one of the first to sign up. We Parrot Heads are very lucky to be the first ones exposed to these fantastic musicians. Get in at the start and watch them take off. If you're on the list, you won't miss any of the upcoming dates.

Josh's Interview has finally been posted at http://www.jimmydotcom.com.
Josh promises to hang around this area for a while answering all of the questions you have that I might have missed.

It's pretty cool of Josh to do this for us, so be sure you don't miss this opportunity to talk to the guy you have been watching on "Live By the Bay" for all these years.

Also, you should support Josh on his latest musical effort by picking up a copy of "A Little Trip" at http://www.vinylkings.com.

Thanks again Josh, and yeah, I'll be at your farm next 4th of July for your big party.
