Josh, great interview on jimmydotcom and thanks for taking time to answer a few questions here! Happen to be watching an Austin City Limits rebroadcast as I post this, what was with that crowd that night. I think the show was in '84ish, I never remember seeing the crowd so subdued(sp). Not a question, just an observation.

I have not seen any of the moderators in this thread, but you are part of JB history, how can we not be interested in the past and your present and future. If your willing to take the time to answer questions, how can it be bad for the site!

I caught that ACL last night too. Hell of a coinceidence! Here we are chatting with and about Josh, turn on the TV and there he is with Jimmy and the boys again! (Albeit over 15 years ago, still seemed like just yesterday!)
Great show! Must be requested a lot because they sure do repeat it often.

Hey Josh,
I hope you do take the band on the road and come here to Las Vegas. Mandalay Bay or The Palms would be perfect venues for you and the band!

Jackson and Josh - I really enjoyed reading the interview - some of those old stories about your days on the road are priceless. You brought back a lot of memories of all the Buffett shows I went to in the 80s. The first time I remember seeing the crowd dressing in "Parrothead" attire was at a show Jimmy did on the side of a ski slope in Vernon Valley, NJ - must have been '81 or '82. It was right after the release of "Somwhere Over China."

Glad to have you back Josh - looking forward to hearing more about your future plans and the Vinyl Kings!! :D

I was watching my Live By The Bay video the other night, and it looked like Jimmy and Josh had a great chemistry going on. I would love to see them hook up in the future to do some more colaborating. From what some of you have posted, the Vinyl Kings album is worth checking out. I'll look into it later. Let me know how you like it donchu know

Mr. WhiteOveralls, if you do tour and come to San Diego the Belly Up Tavern in Solana Beach is a great small venue (500-600 I think).

I saw it too, and thought the exact same thing! It was so weird not watching everbody in the audience "do" FINS! And you are TOTALLY a part of our history! ("History lesson, history lesson!") :D

I re-watched the Live by the Bay video and I just have one question:

Where did you get all of that pure energy and whatever it was, can I have some? Whew, Josh...I don't think I've ever see anyone put so much into a show!

Saw a couple of the CR's over the weekend. Fingers and Utley played at the Blue Crab Festival on the Eastern Shore. Good show...too much Buffett though. SE Virginia is not too far away from Nashville. Think of us when you set your tour schedule. Okay?

Josh Leo

Post by Parrotheadbeckum »

8) I have a Josh Leo story. My husband and I were in Memphis, 198?, for the Floridays concert on Mud Island. Front row seats, lots of Margaritas, JIMMY BUFFETT & CORAL REEFERS, just what I would imagine heaven being and we had rooms at the Peabody!!! Just don't get much better. The concert was wonderful and it was then that I truly fell in love with Josh Leo. The energy he had on stage with JB was great. Well, the concert ended and we walked (& crawled - Margaritas!!) back to the Peabody with anticipated hope that we might catch Buffett in the lobby of the Peabody. Well, Jimmy (my hubby) and I got on the elevator to go up and freshen and come back down to the lobby, when Jimmy asked me "CA (which is what he calls me - real name Carol Ann), do you know who you are on the elevator with? I looked around and COULD NOT BELIEVE MY EYES.... Josh Leo and a couple of other Reefers. They signed the Corono/Floridays poster for me - "To Carol Ann from Buffett and the band." I have it framed and hanging up!!!!
It's times like these one can never forget.
Luv this band and luv Josh Leo. He was GREAT!!!!
