From Henry: Last week i and three friends got jilted out of 350.00 by a man selling himself as a ticket broker out of Miami Florida named Michael, he contacted me after seeing my ad for tickets for the atlanta show. This man promised me 4 seats in section 102 15 rows from the stage. Needless to say, after a Western Union transaction the tickets never showed. Please advise your site visitors of this name and fraudulent action. Could you tell me who i can contact about stopping this guy from taking someone else.
I have just become a victim of a ticket scam. It is not the fault of the Ticket Exchange. I was not careful enough. The caller (Michael) said that he received the tickets from a promoter. The payment was arranged using Western Union. Tickets were to be delivered the following day; at which time we would authorize payment. According to Western Union, "Michael" picked up the money 15 minutes after we left the Western Union office. We are obviously naive to the buying and selling of tickets. I hope that someone can learn from my pain.
It happened to me too!!!!!!! Man, I am sorry, I should have posted earlier to avoid more harm. It happened 2 days ago to me. Same scam, seemed fool proof. If you would like to contact me, I am going after this guy, I had his last call traced. Don't know what I can do, but if I ever see him. Also, I lost $173 on the scam, he said his name was Mike. Same description as yours. What an a-hole. I turn 21 on June 29th and this was going to be Buffett concert #20. Hope he feels good about ripping poor college students off.
If anyone has become already become a victim of this scam please contact your local authories in the ones in the Miami area. If you plan on exchanging tickets with someone you do not know, please read the Ticket Exchange's "Terms and Conditions"
Ticket Scam Warning

This same scam happened to me last October concerning tickets to a South Carolina football game. Person was also from Miami. The phone call was traced to a pay phone in a hotel lobby in Miami. Spent countless hours tracking the person/people involved to no avail. STILL angry that I wasn't more careful. If anyone gets anywhere, please respond to this posting.

i feel just awful for you all! it s***s, especially as a college student losing a hundred dollars is killer when you are watching every dollar! my friends and i started a tradition that if someone backs out at the last minute we will all pitch in to cover the ticket costs and then just give it to someone we know or someone without a ticket outside the show. we call it "buffettlove" and hold the belief that it all comes back around in the end. plus if we stop one ticket scalper from selling or ripping someone off then it is worth the money we put in. i strongly recomend spreading some buffettlove next chance you have.

For anyone else that purchases tickets in the future, make sure you use Fedex COD or something like that.
Make the seller send them to you Fedex COD. This method has to be on the ups as the seller has to have a Fedex account(just in case you need to track them down).
When the Fedex package arrives, make sure you open the package in front of them. If the Fedex package is empty, you can hold of on the payment. At least you have the Fedex person to confirm that nothing was in it.
Just some friendly advise as I sometimes purchase tickets for other shows to trade and have never had a problem.
