World Series

Post by BuPHett »

A man had bought the only tickets to the World Series he could find. Right behind the left field foul pole. Due to this crappy location, he spent most of the game wandering the aisles. As he made his way down the third base line, he recalled seeing a middle aged man with a seat next to him that had been empty all game. The wanderer made his way down to the prime location in between innings and spoke to the gentleman.

"Excuse me. I have yet to see anyone in this seat. Is it taken?", he said.

"No..this seat belonged to my wife. She never missed a game", he said wiping a tear. "But she's passed away".

Feeling sorry for the guy, he questioned, "She sounded like a great fan. I'm saddened by your loss, but certainly she wouldn't want this seat to go empty, especially for the World Series. Don't you have any relatives or friends that could have used the ticket?"

"Oh, plenty would have loved to come, but they're all at the funeral."
