From Cindy Habbinga, Pres. Midwest IN PHC: This message comes directly from the organizers of the Cheeseburger in Paradise restaurant charity event being held in Indianapolis on Monday, August 19, 2002. This is VERY IMPORTANT...

There are some tickets for the event on the 19th for sale on Ebay (from $600-$4000)!! Please share with any and all Parrot Heads that you can, that they should NOT buy these tickets because they are non-transferable. If someone were to pay $4000.00 for the tickets, they will not be granted admittance because we have everyone's name who actually bought the tickets from us, Riley or Q95. Just because they have a pass, does not mean they get in. (Not to be mean, but the reason we did this was to raise money for The Riley Hospital for Children..not so someone can make money off of the tickets..sorry just had to vent!). Also, I just talked to Debbie, President of CIP, and she said that video cameras are definitely not allowed. Regular cameras are allowed, but if Jimmy is being blinded by flashes, we may have to ask that they be put away. Thanks, Ms Charley

I am glad they are trying to stop the dirt bag scalper!!

WOW! This has gotten a little out of hand. If you don't like it... don't go on ebay and look at it.

I purchased some of these tickets. The money IS going to Riley and it IS above board!

I know where the tickets are coming from and where the money is going. While I appreciate everyones looking out for me, enough is enough. The tickets that are being discussed by the attorneys are most likely the ones sold in the lottery. Believe it or not, there are other tickets that have been issued.

Again, thanks to everyone for their concern.

The more we all wine about scalpers and ebay, the more the Lawyers get involved. And the more the Lawyers get involved, the more money they make!

The buyers of these things are almost as bad as the sellers - if someone is willing to pay $4,000 and get stuck with non-transferrable tickets, let that be a lesson to them. Maybe they will stop buying from scalpers. It takes two to scalp tickets....

Anyway, there are tickets to this popping up EVERYWHERE. I just spoke on the phone to Bridget with the Cheeseburger Headquarters in Tampa, Florida who is in charge of the Indy event. What a great gal! I needed to get some details for myself about some things for that night, but I shared with her the concerns over the tickets already being on Ebay. She said she is WELL aware of it and has already notified their legal counsel of the auction and is working to get it pulled. She said, if you learn of any more, let us know. She said they are VERY upset about his and will pursue getting to the bottom of it. She has been on Ebay all day searching for them and had found the $4,000 one. I told her about another auction going for $600...which she had not seen, and I had a hard time finding myself....finally figured out why, they had spelled Buffett as Buffet with one T..(she laughed and said, they can't even spell his name right!) She said there were no "insiders" as they would have had to have gotten tickets directly through her, as she is the top of the food chain for this event. I wasn't aware of the Tickets Up Front ad at the time I spoke with her. We all heard explicitly that these are not transferable. So, don't be fooled out of your money for these fake tickets.

and woe be it if jimmy finds out his staff are ebaying their tixs. fastest way to get fired..

Okay now I'm concerned. I purchased tickets from ticketsupfront.com last March for the Great Woods show. I have not received my tickets as of yet. I just talked with them and they assured me that the tickets will arrive 72 hours before show time and be overnight delivered. I guess if I get screwed I deserve it. At least I know what I'm getting beforehand. I'll just bend over and grit my teeth.
