I love the new CD too, but Autour and Hokey Pokey slow the first part of the second set quite a bit. I would bet they will be shelved for a long long time after this tour.
Well, if he shuffled the songs maybe it would fit. But Autor sounds like it was done in loop software, except for the horn section. The new album has a few good tunes but it sounds like he wants to do something but becomes laid back and lazy.
Blue Guitar, Last Man, Far Side, are okay. I can even handle Savannah and Someday(if that was longer then three minutes I wouldn't be able to handle it).
Hokey Pokey & Autour are part of the Far Side...He won't play them next tour. I'm just praying that he will tell us he will be back next year. Should I be taking the Meds they advertise on TV for anZIODy??
He already has said he is going to tour next year. I remember hearing in a interview he plans on touring for at least a few more years, also saying, why would i quit, i have the best summer job anyone could ever ask for. I agree with him, work 3 days a week for only a few weeks a year. Where do i sign up for that job?
Let's see if there is a winter leg tour, although I think he mentioned this was the last leg for Far Side Tour. I was hoping a NJ and NY arena show in Feb. But I think he scaled back that portion for this tour.
I was planning on going to see him in Detroit if he does a small winter leg like he did last year, now my only hopes are ill be going if my connections in Motown can get tickets
Well, let's see. He may just do the Island stuff and use the winter to publish or finish up. Maybe write new songs for a Late Summer release?
The last CD was well finished before the release. It was ready for a Sept go.
