Washington - Tropical Voyage 2003

The Washington Area Parrot Head Club is excited to announce plans for our Third Annual TROPICAL VOYAGE New Year's Eve Party in Alexandria, VA!
The Club has once again chartered the Potomac Riverboat Company's (www.potomacriverboatco.com) Cherry Blossom, the only paddle-wheel steamboat on the Potomac River, for a four-hour evening party cruise beginning at 9:30pm on Tuesday December 31. The party will begin with a happy hour and open pool (yes, it's indoors) starting at 3:00pm at the Sheraton Suites Hotel in Alexandria, VA, where local guitarist Chris Gantzer will entertain you from 5pm-8:30pm. The Sheraton will then provide free shuttle service to the pier, where boarding will begin at 9:15pm sharp for a 9:30pm departure. FOOD on the Boat will be immaculately catered by Mango Mike's Caribbean Cafe. TROPICAL MUSIC will be provided on one level by local party band Small Town (www.smalltown.org) and on the other level by our friends from Maryland Key Lime Pie (http://chesapeakeparrothead.tripod.com/key_lime_pie.htm). THE BAR WILL BE OPEN for the entire Cruise, and include a midnight champagne toast! Proceeds from this event will be donated to the Chesapeake Bay Foundation.
The Sheraton Suites in Old Town Alexandria (801 North St. Asaph Street, 703-836-4700) will once again serve as the host hotel. Group-rate rooms are available now at the rate of $99; please call the hotel directly to confirm your reservation under the WAPHC group soon. Finally, TICKETS are available now at the rate of ONLY $99 until October 28! Ticket prices will increase to $109 after this date.
