I just found out that I am definitely going to be able to make MotM, and registration closed last week! If anyone has registered and can't go, I'd love to buy your credentials from you. Thanks

I hate to tell ya....but buying someone else's credentials may not be that easy. Last year I had a friend that backed out last minute....found someone else to go but we never did manage to transfer her package. Had to show I.D. to get it as I recall. Still had fun....even without going to the stuff at the host hotel.

I've done this before and all I needed to do was present the card sent by PHiP to her acknowledging her registration. I even sent her the bag of goodies! LOL

Only time will tell ..........

NanaBabe, just got an email from the MOTM webboard, seling, trading, lending or any other transfer is against PHIP rules and will get you kicked out of the organization, not to mention the convention. Any club with a member caught in any such behavior, would be faced with the possibility of loosing there charter.

Even if you can't get into the convention you can have a great time in "Old Town" with the rest of us. Most all the bands will be playing somewhere during the week.

I did email PHiP but it wasn't to ask. I kinda sorta but in a dignified way told 'em where to stick their attitude.

I think not allowing card carrying members to pass along an unused badge to another card carrying member upon notification to PHiP is unreasonable and absurd. It's a friggin' party for Pete's sake!! Yes I am a pirate, and a renegade

and I will return to the Duval party as usual, sans a badge...cause I don't need no steenkin' badge! LOL

All the bands I really want to see are playing around town anyway with the exception of the Peter Mayer Group, and I'll get a good taste of Peter's picking with Club Trini on Friday anyway. Besides, the real reason I go is to play with my friends from all over the country, anyway. Not to play in some fancy hotel courtyard. Give me the grimey streets and cluttered gutters and set my body clock on island time

My feelings about the whole organization have finally gone beyond the point of soured after all these years. I don't wanna live on that kind of island, I don't wanna swim in a roped off sea, too much for me, too much for me!
