Once upon a time, I was (and still am) a social worker and continue as the executive director of a youth drop in center. I see and hear things, daily, that most could not even imagine. :o

That's my day job. During the evenings and on weekends, I am a Real Estate Investor, which eventually will take me FAR FAR away from being a social worker and onto white sandy beaches (full time) 8) to live happily ever after (every now & then.)

The End

My job??

Post by jhamel »

Well, here in Jacksonville, I wear many hats. I am the Director of Technology at an independent school (K-6), I teach computers to the kids in the computer lab, and of course I am the network administrator. I would say this keeps me busy. But I still have time to not only teach the kids computers but also JB songs. They know most of them by heart (hmm, I've heard those words somewhere before) and they know I'm into cheeseburgers. They also know 5 o'clock somewhere (they hear that from me all the time).

I am an industrial mechanic for a large food processing plant in Michigan. Things are slow now but no layoffs yet (fingers crossed).

I am a customer service rep for a large medical company. Not my dream job but it is paying the bills. It can be interesting as I get to talk to people all accross the country.

Wow what a wide variety of occupations!

I am the director of a program that gives kids free airplane rides in general aviation airplanes. So far, 1 million and counting!

The smiles most definitely outweigh the headaches -- and I even get to go flying on my own from time to time!

That sounds so interesting. Visions of Ya Ya Sisterhood are running through my mind...where the mother treated the kids to a plane ride and the one chickened out and then she HAD to take her back later...

Course, they had to pay! :)

How fun ... more details!

1. Parrotthead
2. "Support Services Coordinator" at a hospital based Blood Donor Center. In other words, second in charge go-fer. I can do anything but draw blood or test blood. Staff of about 20. Mostly computer stuff, but a little bit of everything else - scheduling, hand holding (both donors & staff), training, writing sops, anything else that is needed.
