I was kind of bored this morning so I sent Ticketmaster an e-mail expressing my opinion of this situation. When I logged on to Ticketmaster, an American Express ad popped up telling me that they were 'partners' with Ticketmaster. Since that is the card I use for tickets, I sent them a friendly e-mail also. Won't do any good, but I felt better for a few seconds.

On the other hand, you all need to spend lots of money with Ticketmaster. The Seattle Seahawks need to spend a lot of money on free agents this year and since they are owned by the same person, they could really use the extra money!

Paul Allen owns TicketMaster? Hmm. I didn't realize. Maybe I could scrape up a contact. It's too late at this point but maybe next year.

At one time he was the largest stockholder in Ticketmaster. They merged with USA Networks in January and I don't know how much he owns now. I know he sold $570 millon in USA Networks stock last year so he may not have any left other than what he may have recieved in the merger.

Hey I was wondering how many shows are not gonna be available over the internet at all, Palace sports has finally annouced the detroit show but its not even listed on the ticketbastard site yet. Anyone heard of any online blackouts? I know ticketmaster used to make all online sales start a hour after the normal sale to save their S#$%y computers from crashing.

There will be no ban for the rest of everyone tryin to get tickets to Camden off the web. They can not do that, they have to make them available to everyone.

Well, if it does work, I may get a 1 percent chance of getting tickets.
I hope this idea works and gives me a better chance to get more then 0 tickets.

Restricted Camden Sale

Ticketmaster does have the ability to restrict tickets purchases in Camden for DE, NJ and PA. They did the samething in the fall for Springsteen. The system will allow you to search for tickets. Once you submit your credit card information, you will get the message that the tickets are restricted to DE, NJ or PA. You will not be able to order the tickets unless the billing address on your credit card is in DE, NJ or PA. Hopefully this will make it easier for those of us who live in NJ to get tickets.

Z,
When they did this for Bruce, did that include phone orders as well or just on-line orders?

It was just internet orders. You could buy tickets over the phone from any location in the country.

I don't know how they handled the phone situation for Bruce. From what I recall, they also restricted tickets for Eagles playoff tickets. No one could purchase tickets online because the system went down from so many people trying to log in. The next day people were calling the local radio station saying that people calling from other states were able to purchase tickets easily. I think you can purchase the tickets from other states using the phone.
